  Description

  Dear Helpers:
  I present myself: I'm Daniel, I love plants and working with wood. I managed to combine these two passions in the ongoing
  project.
  The place: An old convent and school, builded in 1820, where over a century, more than five thousand children have learned how to read,
  write, and they also had fun, laughed and scampered through the gardens and the backyard of this place, sometimes it seems
  as if there vivavious energy still remains.
  We share the place with my partner who comes on the weekends as well as my daughters who come sporadically, also a few cats
  walking around the garden complete the scene, harmonizing with the rest.
  The joinery: It's what I do most of the time, working from home. I always say that is essential to invent in order to keep
  creativity alive. So that's why my last project, which I presented in the "Parc du ch‚teau de L'Hermenaut was "The Suspended
  Garden", a small aromatic garden with an automatic irrigation system which you can appreciate in detail in the pictures on the
  profile page. Most of the materials used for this project where reutilized from previous works.

  I feel great passion for this, and that's why I put a lot of my energy into it, which could sometimes leave little time
  frame for other activities such as, gardening, or the transformation of other spaces for better independence and autonomy
  for future helpers (so they can inhabit them). The place is big and has a lot of potential, it can definitely nurture
  from new ideas conceived by the helpers.
  So if there's people out there interesed in gardening (botany is one of my passions, and I will be pleased to share knowledge,
  experiences and books with people who wants to learn more about this fascinating topic), as well as people with notions of
  building and/or carpentry to keep moving forward in the process of transforming the others spaces, I will be more that happy
  to share the place and the time with you.
  The organization:
  I'm very flexible as to how to organize the work, that's why I chose to discuss the dynamic with each helper, there is
  people who prefer to follow a schedule, and others who are happy with setting a goal for the day/week and then trying
  to get it done, but keeping flexible with the hours. I'm sure we can find a way to make it work for all of us. To give a
  rough idea of what is expected: 20 hours per week, distributed in the most suitable way for everyone.
  The room: A double room, with all the amenities, plenty of light and internet access, on top of the calm that provides the
  tranquil surroundings of L'Hermenaut.
  The village: It's small and quiet, typical in the French countryside, with its bakery, tobacco store, minimarket, pharmacy,
  library, etc.
  There's a big forest in the sourroundings, just 10km away, and 13km from here there is Fontenay-le-Comte, a bigger town
  where you can find everything you may need. There are also bikes which you can use to move around the area.
  What you can expect:
  A place close to nature, where it's possible to take your time to contemplate an to listen attentively to the beautiful
  world around us which becomes invisible sometimes in this digital present.
  To share the good French gastronomy, that includes typical dishes, wine, cheeses, bread and all the tradition that, in a
  way, defines our culture.
  To share the table discussing about the different ways of looking at the world and the exchange of ideas that will
  enrich us all.
  Also: A bunch of books about all sorts of themes, as well as music, painting, photography (art in general is a passion
  for my partner as well as for myself), movies and much more.
  PS. My mother tongue is French, but I will enjoy speaking in English and I also have some basic notions of Spanish.

  Cher ´helpers'
  
  Je me présente: Je m'appelle Daniel, je suis un amoureux des plantes et du travail du bois. Je combine depuis longtemps ces deux passions.
  
  Le lieu: Un ancien couvent et école construit en 1820 où plus de quatre mille enfants ont appris à lire, à écrire, compter et ils se sont bien amusés, ils ont ri et ils ont couru à travers les jardins et le patio de cet endroit, parfois il semble que leur énergie est encore présente.
  
  
  Nous partageons l'endroit avec ma compagne qui vient le week-end et mes filles qui me visitent sporadiquement, aussi plusieurs chats qui se promènent dans le jardin complètent "le paysage" en harmonie avec le reste.
  
  
  L'ébénisterie: C'est ce que je fais la plupart du temps, à la maison. Je dis toujours que c'est fondamental d'inventer, toujours, pour garder la créativité en vie. C'est pour ça que mon dernier projet, présenté au parc du château de L'Hermenault était le "Jardin Suspendu", un petit jardin aromatique avec un système d'irrigation automatique que vous pouvez apprécier parmi les photos du profil. La plupart des matériaux utilisés dans ce projet ont étés recyclés à partir de matière de travaux antérieurs.

  C'est ma passion et c'est la raison pour laquelle j'y consacre de nombreuses heures de ma journée, ce qui me laisse parfois peu de marge de temps pour faire les autres activités, telles que le jardin ou l'amélioration d'autres espaces pour une plus grande indépendance et autonomie de futurs ´helpers' (le lieu est très grand et a beaucoup de potentiel) .
  
  
  S'il ya des gens qui s'intéressent à la culture et aux soins du jardin ils sont les bienvenus (la botanique est une passion)et j'aimerais partager mes connaissances, expériences et livres sur le sujet avec ceux qui souhaitent en apprendre plus à ce sujet, ainsi que les personnes qui ont des notions de construction ou de menuiserie pour avancer avec la transformation des autres
  espaces, je serais plus qu'heureux de partager le lieu et le temps avec eux.
  
  
  L'organisation: Je suis très flexible dans la manière d'organiser le travail, j'ai donc choisi de discuter sur la dynamique du travail avec chaque ´helper' en particulier; il y a des gens qui préfèrent avoir un horaire fixe, d' autres qui choisissent de se fixer des objectifs à faire dans la journée / la semaine, et d'autres plus flexible avec les heures, cela dépendra de chacun.
  Bien sûr nous pouvons discuter de la façon d'organiser les choses afin que cela fonctionne de la meilleure façon pour tout le monde.
  Pour donner une idée approximative de ce qui est attendu: vingt heures par semaine réparties comme cela convient le mieux.
  
  La chambre: La chambre est double, avec tout le confort, beaucoup de lumière et accès à internet, en plus du calme que donne l'environnement paisible de L'Hermenault.
  
  
  Le village: C'est un petit endroit tranquille, typique de la campagne française avec sa boulangerie, son tabac, son petit supermarché, pharmacie, bibliothèque, etc.
  Fontenay-le-Comte (une ville plus grande) se situe à 13 km, vous pouvez y trouver tout ce dont vous avez besoin.
  Il y a des vélos que vous pouvez utiliser à votre guise pour vous déplacer.
  
  Que pouvez-vous attendre:
  
  Un endroit très proche de la nature, où il est possible de prendre le temps pour contempler et être attentif au monde qui nous entoure et que devient parfois invisible dans ce "présent digital".
  
  Partager de la bonne cuisine française, qui comprend des plats typiques, notre vin, nos fromages, notre pain et toutes les traditions qui s'articulent autour de notre culture.
  Partagez la table en discutant des différentes façons de regarder le monde en échangeant des idées qui contribuent à l'enrichissement mutuel
  
  En plus: beaucoup de livres sur les sujets les plus variés, musique, peinture, photographie (l'art en général est une passion , des films et bien plus encore.
  
  PS: Ma langue maternelle est le français, mais nous pouvons parler anglais aussi et j'ai également des connaissances de base en espagnol.

  Me presento: Mi nombre es Daniel, amante de las plantas y de trabajar con la madera. LogrÈ desde hace un tiempo combinar
  estas dos pasiones en el presente proyecto.
  El lugar: Un antiguo convento y escuela, construido en 1820 y donde a los largo de un siglo m·s de cinco mil niÒos aprendieron a leer, escribir,
  y se divirtieron, rieron y corrieron por los jardines y el patio de este lugar, a veces parece como si su energÌa a ̇n siguiera
  correteando y riendo de a ratos.
  El lugar lo compartimos con mi compaÒera que viene los fines de semana y mis hijas que visitan espor·dicamente, tambiÈn
  varios gatos que se pasean por el jardÌn completan "el paisaje" armonizando con el resto.
  La ebanisterÌa: Es a lo que me dedico la mayor parte del tiempo, trabajando desde casa. Siempre digo que es fundamental
  inventar, siempre, mantener viva la creatividad. De ahÌ que mi ̇ltimo proyecto, presentado en Parc du ch‚teau de L'Hermenault
  fue el "JardÌn suspendido", un pequeÒo jardÌn arom·tico con sistema de riego autom·tico que pueden apreciar entre las fotos
  del perfil. La mayorÌa de los materiales utilizados en este proyectos fueron reciclados de trabajos anteriores.

  Esto me apasiona y por eso le dedico muchas horas de mi dÌa, lo que a veces me deja con poco margen para brindarle tiempo a
  otras actividades, como sean el jardÌn, o el reacondicionamiento de otros espacios para mayor independencia y autonomÌa de
  futuros helpers (el lugar es muy grande y tiene mucho potencial para darle forma, nutriÈndose de las ideas que los que vengan
  quieran legarle al proyecto).
  Es por eso que si hubiera gente que estuviese interesada en el cultivo y cuidado del jardÌn (la bot·nica es un a pasiÛn
  y con gusto compartirÌa conocimientos, experiencias y libros sobre el tema con quienes quieran aprender m·s al respecto),
  asÌ como gente que posea nociones sobre construcciÛn o carpinterÌa para avanzar con las transformaciÛn de los otros
  espacios, estarÌa m·s que feliz de compartir el lugar y el tiempo con ellos.
  La organizaciÛn: Soy muy flexible con la forma de organizar el trabajo, por eso elijo discutir la din·mica con cada ́helpera
  en particular; hay gente que prefiere tener un horario, otra que elige ponerse metas de cosas a hacer en el dÌa/la semana
  y ser m·s flexible con las horas, eso depender· de cada uno, y con gusto se puede charlar sobre la forma de organizarnos
  para que funcione de la mejor manera para todos. Para dar una idea aproximada de lo que se espera: veinte horas semanales,
  repartidas de la forma que mejor convenga.
  La habitaciÛn: La habitaciÛn es doble, con todas las comodidades, mucha luz y acceso a internet, adem·s de la calma que
  provee el tranquilo entorno de L'Hermenaut.
  El pueblo: Es un lugar pequeÒo y tranquilo, tÌpico de la campaÒa francesa, con su panaderÌa, su tienda de tabaco,
  su pequeÒo supermercado, farmacia, biblioteca, etc.
  En los alrededores hay un gran bosque a unos 10 km, y a 13 km se encuentra Fontenay-le- Comte que es un pueblo m·s grande
  donde pueden encontrar todo lo que necesiten. Hay bicicletas que puede usar a discreciÛn para moverse por los alrededores.
  Lo que puedes esperar:
  Un lugar muy cercano a la naturaleza, donde es posible tomarse el tiempo para contemplar y estar atento al hermoso mundo
  que nos rodea y que de a ratos se torna invisible en este presente digital.
  Compartir la buena gastronomÌa francesa, eso inluye platos tÌpicos, nuestro vino, nuestros quesos, nuestro pan, y toda la
  tradiciÛn que gira en torno a estos regalos de nuestra cultura.
  Compartir la mesa discutiendo sobre las distintas formas de ver el mundo, y el intermabio de ideas que ayude al mutuo
  enriquecimiento.
  Adem·s: Un montÛn de libros sobre los temas m·s variados, m ̇sica, pintura, fotografÌa, (el arte en general es una pasiÛn tanto
  de mi compaÒera Laurence como mÌa), pelÌculas y mucho m·s.
  PD: Mi lengua materna es el francÈs, pero con gusto podemos hablar en inglÈs, y tambiÈn tengo algunas nociones b·sicas de
  espaÒol (un ́helpera me ayudÛ en la redacciÛn de esta descripciÛn).
