Description
Hi, my name is Dorina and I am excited to volunteer around the world :)
I grew up in a small village in Hungary and later moved to Budapest, and slowly started to explore around. I'm outdoorsy, curious, artsy, passionate about nature (especially geology - rocks, fossils, volcanoes).
In 2024 I quit my corporate job to live my dream and discover the world and myself within. I volunteered in Portugal, walked the El Camino and collected many memories. I realised I want to connect with people, get to know their cultures, everyday lives, struggles, and what makes them happy. I think that volunteering is a great way to support each other, share our stories, learn new skills and also it feels really good to give. :)
One of my best volunteering experience was when I joined a program in Grabovaca Cave Park, Croatia. I met amazing people, gained life-long friendships, learned a lot from the locals and I could give back to the nearby community. Our team renovated the playgroud, had many creative projects, leading summer school, maintaining the park itself.
I have worked with kids in Greece and Spain, and these were such unforgettable, amazing times. I learned that I have an instant connection with children, and I really love to teach and play with them, watch them express themselves, and they have a lot to teach us as well.
As I love and also studied geology, I organised and guided some tours around my country. I believe that we can only protect what we love, and we can only love what we know and understand, so telling stories, playing educational games is a great way to bring nature and people closer together.

More details about your skills
I am enthusiastic, creative, responsible. I like to organise events and games, create something and being active. I consider myself an open-minded and caring person, and I am good with kids and teaching.
As a "village girl" I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty, on the contrary: I like playing with dirt. :D Gardening, painting, renovating, building something is fun, but I also see myself as a tidy person, so cleaning, organising, handy-work is not a problem for me.
I also have a tour guide license in Hungary and some experience in field trips, sightseeing tours. -

I spent 3 amazing weeks with Rebecca's family ( I wish I had more time!) and it was truly a one of a kind experience for me.
