  • Description

Hi there, I am Astrid, 27, and living in Copenhagen. I have a Master's degree in Finance, IT, and Technology, and I've been working as a strategy consultant for many years. However, I recently realized that I thrive on meeting new people and exploring the world, far more than sitting behind a desk.

I am an individual who thrives in nature, being outside and disconnected, and as a result,
I spend almost every minute of my free time outside. I have always traveled extensively and have often placed myself in different situations. From this, two of my dearest memories emerged, including volunteering as a goat shepherd in an Israeli mountain range and hitchhiking around the Yukon territory alone. Besides this, I find myself comfortable when reading a book, going on long runs, hiking, watching, or playing soccer (devoted Arsenal fan).

I possess many different qualities and feel that I can handle a bit of everything. My greatest strength is my curiosity, and I have rarely turned down a task, as I believe that's where learning happens. When I was volunteering as a goat shepherd, I helped out on the farm when I wasn't out grazing. This included cooking for the other workawayers and the family, helping build a chicken coop, renovating the goat farm, cleaning the basement, trying to make clever rat traps, grocery shopping, or going on long walks with the dogs.

When I traveled around Yukon, I helped out as a nanny for the loveliest family. There, I assisted with basic household tasks, such as tidying up and cooking, but most importantly, it was about satisfying the curiosity of the girl I was babysitting. We picked and ate berries, went for runs with the stroller, and jumped for hours on the trampoline. Additionally, I also helped with more practical tasks, such as DIY projects, moving heavy items, helping to butcher moose, prepare the meat for winter, and cleaning.

All in all, I am curious and ready for any adventure that awaits out there in the big world. I would love to work more with animals, build things, or be more connected with the water and the sea.

    Cheers,
    Astrid
