  • Description

    Hello everyone,
We are Arbri (31yo) and Lucie (29yo), a couple who love slow travelling 🎒

We will present ourself here :
    -------------
My name is Arbri, I was born in Albania in 1994 and emigrated to Italy with my family in 2000.

I’m an open‑minded, easy‑going and positive person who loves meeting people and discovering different ways of living. I’m traveling to learn, share, and connect, hoping to find inspiring ideas for my future dream place. I enjoy simple living, good vibes, and meaningful exchanges. I’ve tried a vegan diet and liked it, but for now I’m still flexitarian.

I graduated as an electrician and have experience in construction, carpentry, painting, forestry work, and other physical tasks. I also spent time WWOOFing on an organic farm, helping with planting, irrigation, and general farm duties. On rainy days, I helped in their B&B with cleaning, changing beds, and check‑ins/check‑outs.

I’m happy to help wherever I can and bring good energy to the place.

Hi everyone, I'm Lucie. I was born in France and I grew up in a multicultural family between French and Armenia. To learn a bit more about my ancestors, I went to an Armenian school in France for almost 14 years, where I learned to speak and read the language.

After high school, I did a bachelor’s degree in business management with a specialty in marketing and communication. I liked the rhythm of university, being independent in research and self‑organization. But as time passed, I got involved in minimalism and became interested in biodiversity, which pushed me to travel around Southeast Asia with only my 50L backpack for a few months :) I crossed the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and decided to try a working holiday visa in Australia, where I stayed for one year.

The experience of traveling taught me a lot about myself, how I see the world, my way of life, and the relationships between people. It also shaped my future, because I came back to France with the idea of becoming a pastry maker 🥐. I prepared my degree as an external candidate, entirely self‑taught. I started working as a pastry maker in a shop specializing in low glycemic index products (unrefined sugar, natural taste of raw organic ingredients), and at the same time I prepared a diploma to become a chocolate maker.

Now I’m happy to consider myself an artisan of pastry and chocolate 🍫.
I also have several other responsibilities, such as babysitter, community manager, French teacher, cook, gardening work, and painter in volunteering experiences.
    --------
Thank you for your time reading this. We will be glad to share good times and laughs with everyone.
Hope we’ll see you soon, and if not, we wish you a nice life! :D

  • More details about your skills

    Arbri :
I’m a multitasking worker and a fast learner. I’ve had experience in several different sectors: building assistance, electrical installation, and operating machinery such as bobcats, excavators, wheelers, and trucks.
My previous job was as a housekeeper, and I’m currently working as a receptionist in a 5‑star hotel.

I also have solid experience with childcare. I’ve been surrounded by kids since I was 10 years old, and through Workaway I spent 7 months babysitting—first a 5‑year‑old, then a 9‑month‑old baby.

    Lucie:
My profession is pastry maker, but I can also cook a variety of dishes (vegetarian, meat, or fish) 👩‍🍳.
I adapt easily to new situations, enjoy learning new things, and I’m happy to help in many different ways. I can do gardening, cleaning, babysitting, painting, and general house tasks.

I also have experience with digital work such as helping with websites, managing Instagram, taking photos, and creating simple content.

  • What else ...

We believe that life is meant to be lived fully, so we decided to follow our dreams and create the life we want. Workaway gives us the chance to exchange skills, discover new ways of living, and travel freely while connecting with people in a simple and meaningful way.

Our priority is to wake up happy, share good energy, laugh with others, and enjoy the beauty of the world — its places, its cultures, and its people.

We’re especially drawn to places by the sea or ocean. We love learning new things, helping with different tasks, meeting people from all backgrounds, and exploring new areas during our free time. Living and working with locals allows us to experience real daily life, traditions, and community.

We’ve traveled a lot and feel grateful for all those experiences. Now we’re working toward building our own project — creating a little nest where we can one day raise a family. We would love to become hosts ourselves and welcome travelers in the future.

And a fun detail: we actually met thanks to a Workaway experience in 2021 :)
