Description

Hi! I’m Akis from Corfu, Greece, a nature lover who enjoys outdoor life.
I’m currently on a Workaway experience in Iceland. Taking care of horses, sheep and cattles in Iceland showed me how rewarding farm life can be, including both the challenging and meaningful moments. I’ve also been involved in producing our own extra virgin olive oil with my family, which strengthened my connection to food production and the land.
I studied computer science and worked for several years as a computer engineer, which gave me strong problem-solving skills, responsibility, and good organization. At the same time, I really enjoy hands-on, practical work, learning new things, and being active outdoors.
I’ve hosted travelers on Airbnb for several years, so I’m used to responsibility, communication, and creating a warm, respectful environment.
Music is also part of my life (I play guitar), and I love sharing positive energy when the moment is right.
I’m happy helping on farms, doing maintenance, organizing, or supporting daily tasks and I enjoy being part of a team.
I’m open-minded, flexible, reliable, easygoing and excited to contribute wherever I’m needed.

Farming & Animal Care:
-Previous workaway experience on an Icelandic farm, helping with daily care and feeding of horses, sheep and cattle.
-Long-term experience with olive harvesting and organic olive oil production on my family’s olive grove (around 1,000 trees).
-Hands-on experience with grape and potato harvests on family land in Corfu, including traditional home wine production.
