Description
Well!
My name is Nik and my last adventure was a work and travel visa through Canada.
During this time, I had a fantastic time and met amazing people - Thanks for everything!
Unfortunately, I had to leave Canada and returned back home to Ireland.
I found low-budget travelling in the current economy to be impossible and therefore had to throw in the towel after a few very lovely and rewarding months doing various Workaway experiences.
Here is a list of things that I did during my Workaway stays in Canada:
- Painted Rooms (for an Airbnb room in the host's house)
- Taking out carpet
- Put new floor in
- Cleared out an attic
- Gardening work
- Taking out a nail in a tyre and fixed the puncture
- Fixed a vacuum cleaner
- House sitting
- Pet sitting
- Dog Walking
- Household Chores
- Deep cleaning the host's house
- Driving my host to various places
- Replaced a door knob
- Replaced shingles at a wodden shed
- Painted shed with primer and paint
- Picked acorns, chestnuts, berries, apples on a farm/orchard
- Picked and replanted 16.000 Red Oak Trees
- Chopping firewood
- Clearing out gardening space, weeding and cutting down trees
- Homeschooled children
- Entertaining my hosts with endless puns and dad jokes
Shoot me a message, if you are Ireland-based, want to know more about me and if you think we could collaborate on a project.
Stay sound - Nik.
