Hi everyone,
I have been moving around for quite some time now.
It all started when I realised it was the last years before I could benefit from the Working Holiday scheme in New Zealand. Real quick, It had become a goal, a dream to realize.
As I was getting ready to leave France for a while and go across the world, I realized I could visit a few mates on the way… why not?
So I spent about two years visiting family and friends before I reached NZ.
Then finally I was working as a FOH in a beautiful lodge at the bottom of the South Island, NZ when the Covid19 pandemic happened. It didn’t change my plans much at the time.
Although when it was time to get back on the road, my partner (at the time) and I experienced this gorgeous country during very special times with a lot less travelers around.
Now I've done it, but I caught the travel bug on the way. There is still plenty I want to discover and still a lot to learn. The trick is to associate the thrill of new discoveries with the benefits of building up skills for a more long term life project.
That's when you become part of it.Interests

Hospitality: I have been trained in hospitality as a Head waiter for about two years in a fast paced micro brewery restaurant. I’ve been doing a bit of bartending as well as cash out and everything else around the customer service. Now my skills in the field help me be relatively adaptable to most hospitality situations.
Handyman: Back in my days staying in the city of Lyon, I was crazy enough to think it was a good idea to fully renovate my flat at the time on my own. It took me about 7 months and taught me a trick or two for that sort of thing. (plumbery, electricity, plaster, painting, furnishing). I also worked full time with an NGO helping setting up a village for an event (4 months).
Farm work and wwoofing:
Wwoofing: Pruning, wood chopping, Fence building/unbuilding, milking cows, planting native trees, spreading manure, feeding farm animals. Vineyard Work: Boxing new plants, bud rubbing, wire lifting, leaf plucking. Kiwi Orchard: Training the leaders, and the new shoots (main activity), pruning, dropping fertilizer using quad bike, Orchard construction works (planting, setting up the windbreakers, installing new irrigation lines). I can drive different sorts of tractors and forklifts.
Permaculture: I have had a first contact visiting “Atitlan Organics” in Tzununa by the lake Atitlan in Guatemala. I have seen a few functional permaculture properties during wwoofing in NZ, I am trying to read as much as I can on the subject. (I am on Retrosuburbia atm, it's great!). I will be at the Zen retreat and festival in september. And hope to meet beautiful people that could help me on my quest to learn more.Age

What else ...
I am always keen on learning more about the art of growing a sustainable veggie patch/food forest. Or anything that would be helping in trasitioning into a more sustainable and self sufficient life style.
I love a good chat, long board games specially during fresh winter evening or mushroom foraging. Some more information
