Hi, my name is Vroni, and I grew up in the German countryside, surrounded by animals like dogs, cats, and tortoises. In 2022, I decided to embark on more travels, and since then, I’ve been exploring the world through hiking, road trips, hostel life, and backpacking. So far, I’ve visited places like Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, and Norway—including the stunning Lofoten Islands.

For me, being outdoors—whether in a forest, garden, or at the beach—is the best way to recharge. I love listening to the sounds of nature, watching animals, swimming in cold waterholes, walking to waterfalls, and jumping into the sea. I’m also passionate about hiking and discovered a love for sailing, which I’d love to explore more.

The main goal of my travels is to truly connect with the countries I visit—their culture, their people, and their way of life. That’s why I joined Workaway: to live with locals, experience their daily lives, and share stories, experiences, and knowledge along the way.

I am working in a Finance Tech Start-up in Germany, which helped me develop strong organizational and planning skills. I am efficient at managing tasks and enjoy bringing structure to any project and work with challenges.

I am also a creative person and love turning ideas into reality, whether it’s through crafting, designing, or brainstorming solutions. Cooking and baking are my happy places—I enjoy being in the kitchen, and I’ve been told I’m quite good at it ;)

I take pride in working hard and picking up new tasks quickly. I’m always ready for a challenge and eager to learn new things, giving every task my best effort. Although I worked in an office in Germany, I have no problem working outdoors, getting my hands dirty, or taking on physically demanding tasks.

In previous experiences, I’ve had the chance to try out painting, gardening, housekeeping, house-sitting, and, of course, cooking. These experiences have given me a wide range of practical skills, and I’m always excited to take on something new.

I'm thrilled to share stories, explore new recipes, and enjoy delicious dishes during my Workaway journey. Connecting with people and embracing new experiences that expand my perspective is something I truly value.

I also have a passion for working with my hands and enjoy practical, hands-on projects. Whether it’s building, repairing, crafting, or gardening, I’m excited to learn and contribute to creative or technical tasks. There’s something deeply rewarding about turning ideas into reality and working together as a team.

One experience I’m particularly looking forward to is fishing. I’d love to immerse myself in the calmness of nature while enjoying the thrill of catching my own fish.

I’m always open to learning, sharing skills, and helping wherever I can—whether it’s through cooking, creating, or storytelling. Most of all, I look forward to meeting inspiring people, contributing positively, and making unforgettable memories along the way.
