Description
Hello! I’m Tomu from Japan. I’m 23 years old. This year, I’m taking a gap year from university to get various experiences.
So, I’m traveling around the world for a year while wearing a jinbei, a traditional Japanese garment. I much prefer visiting local spots to tourist attractions. The reason why I try Workaway is that I’d like to understand the true way of life in each country or region.
I have experience volunteering to support international students who came to study in Japan, while living in a shared house for two months. At that time, I helped with DIY in the shared house and taught them Japanese language and culture. So if you’d like to know, I can share things about Japan.
I really like animals, nature, and exercise as well. I belonged to a football team from childhood until my high school years, so I’m confident in my physical strength.
I don’t speak English fluently, but I can have daily conversations. I’d like to make friends with people from various countries and talk about cultural differences. That’s why I’m studying English hard.
