Description
Hi! My name is Simon, I’m 20 years old and from Hong Kong. I’m currently a second-year university student, and I’m planning to take a gap year to explore the world, step out of my comfort zone, and experience different ways of living.
I’m an outgoing and easygoing person who enjoys meeting new people and adapting to new environments. In my free time, I love cooking, playing sports (especially tennis), and photography. I have my own professional camera and really enjoy capturing everyday moments, people, and cultures through my lens.
I can cook a variety of Chinese dishes and would be happy to share my food and culture with others. I also spent one month living in Taiwan, which gave me experience in adapting to a new place and living independently.
I’m very excited about Workaway because I want to experience local life in a deeper and more meaningful way. I’m especially interested in helping out on farms, staying with families, or working in hostels. I enjoy learning new things, and being able to pick up new skills and experiences is what motivates me the most.
I’m responsible, positive, and always willing to help wherever needed. I also value cleanliness and respect shared living spaces.
I’m really looking forward to meeting amazing people, exchanging cultures, and creating meaningful memories together! -

Bec, Damian and Emily — thank you. From day one you made me feel so welcome that in just ten days, this place felt like home and you felt like family. I never met Declan in person, but even over the phone he made me feel just as welcome.
