Activities i am interested in:
I am currently located in Brecon, South Wales. I enjoy hiking, dancing, board games & cultural experiences.

Description
I’m looking for a meaningful and engaging way to travel by immersing myself in a new culture and contributing to a local project. I’m particularly interested in opportunities that involve supporting children and the wider community.
While I don’t have formal teaching experience, I have enjoyed volunteering with children in a Bible Study group and would love to continue making a positive impact. I’m also happy to bring along supplies that could assist with the work I’ll be involved in.
I’m hoping to spend around three weeks volunteering in late January or February — and would love to find a project that aligns with these dates.

More details about your skills
I currently work as a Registered Nurse in Police Custody. While it has been some time since I worked in a hospital setting, I regularly treat minor injuries and manage a wide range of health conditions. My work involves administering medication and monitoring clinical observations such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
I have a strong interest in holistic nutrition and am particularly concerned about the Western world’s high consumption of ultra-processed foods. I previously completed a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition in Canada, and more recently, an NVQ Level 2 in Regenerative Horticulture. I have some hands-on experience growing vegetables and have volunteered at a market garden in the UK. I’m passionate about soil regeneration, especially using compost worms to enrich soil health and natural ways to improve crop nutrition. Unfortunately, I believe that overuse of pesticides has depleted soil quality, contributing to reduced nutrient content in our food and, consequently, to chronic health issues. I advocate for a lifestyle and nutrition-based approach to preventing illness wherever possible.
In the past, I travelled extensively and considered myself easy-going and adaptable. As I’ve grown older, I’ve found my confidence has waned a little, and I’m eager to challenge myself and reconnect with that adventurous side again. I’m happy to contribute in any practical way that’s needed and always keen to learn new things. Although my IT skills are quite basic, I’m enthusiastic about learning and would especially love to explore new foods and help with food preparation.
