    Description

    Hi everybody,
we are a German-Chinese family with two old houses close to each other in the wonderful village of Nonnenweier, Schwanau. 3 minutes by bike to the river Rhine, close to the french border, to the Europapark, 40 min by bus and train to Freiburg and to Strassbourgh.
We are living together with four other flat share residents and two cats = ) In both houses are flat share residents from all over the world. Right now there are people from India, Chile, Iran, Italy, Spain and of course Germans. It is an open minded community, we love art and music, I myself am a pianist by profession.
There is also a holiday apartment, mostly occupied with Europapark visitors. A piano is in the common room, so everyone can play it anytime. We also have a public guitar.
We speak German, Chinese, English, French, currently flat share residents also speak Italian,Spanish and Hindi (as mentioned above = )
All over the year there is the need to take care of the garden, the yard, there is always some kind of maintenance, small repairments in the houses, stuff needs to be tidied up and so on.

You'll be able to learn DIY skills from painting to wood work, gardening. If you already have DIY skills, welcome, you can have good experiences here.
Currently we are 4 different nations living in the houses, everybody with different backrounds, so it is always interesting.
You can have one of our bikes and explore the wonderful nature near the river Rhein, or even go to the black forest (30 min by bike).
Our village also have a small lake, where you can have a swim, or just relax, very quiet and beautiful area.
And if you already know how to play the piano I'll happily share my musical experiences and view points with you!

  • Help

    Help

The main help is about general maintenance, taking care around the house, tidy up, gardening,
so like small repairments, painting, DIY and small building tasks.
The garden is not so big, but except in winter there is always the need to maintain and clean.
A completely different task would be to help with setting up an email system.

    Accommodation

We have a workawayers room you will have completely for your own. Sharing the kitchen and the bath room with the others in the shared flat.
About the food: we have a supermarket in our village and I pay whatever you need or want and you will have your own compartment in the fridge., so you are free to cook when- and whatever you want. There might also be the possibility to eat with us if this fits in everybodys timetables, or with the residents of the shared flats.

We are 40 min. by bus and train to Freiburg, also to Strassbourgh.
Also there is the beautiful nature around our village, even more if you cross the border to France (what you can do with a small ferry boat going continously daily for free!), 20 min by bike.
And, of course, 25 min by bike to the Europapark (Europe's largest (and probably best) Theme Park).
