Description
I've been lucky enough to travel to 27 countries, on 4 continents and I want to continue to see many more. I studied architectural design at university and graduated in 2017. Since then I have worked as a model, creative director, humanitarian architect and now I run multiple tropical plant shops (@green.plantshops). Unlike most, I don't fit into the everyday roles. I admire excitement and the thrill of the unusual. I came across Workaway and it looked like a dream come true. Using my creativity and skills I could help people all over the world.
I am Scottish through and through. My full name is Andrew Campbell Mcdonald Forbes. Doesn't get more Scottish than that. My mother is from the Isles to the north-west of Scotland and is a native Gaelic speaker (I can't speak it). My father is the son of a pastor who moved around the UK. When he was young he went travelling the middle east for many years. He was finally called back to Scotland to be the best man at a wedding. This is where he met my mother.Interests

Idea Generation - I pride myself in the creation, development, and communication of ideas which are abstract, concrete, or visual. The process includes the process of constructing through the idea, innovating the concept, developing the process, and bringing the concept to reality.
Construction - Throughout my time at uni and on my various projects I've learnt about the intermediate construction skills. Although I have worked with various materials, wood is the material I have the most experience with.
Cooking - My mum taught me from a young age to cook and I have gone on to learn from great chefs. I always tell people that I love good food. People always assume I mean fine dining but most of my favourite food experiences have been in small family kitchens or backstreet cafes.
Photography - I have been taught the basics of photography but I rely on an eye for photography. As I have travelled I've taken photos but I always try and keep it to a minimum as I don't want to forget to lose myself in the moment.
Animal Care - Since I was young I had a natural instinct with animals. I've had lots of different pets and finally got a dog when I was 12. When I was 16 I volunteered at a greyhound rescue centre where I cared for dogs that wouldn't allow others to approach them.
Digital Skills - I have experience with various software such as Photoshop, Indesign and Sketchup. It has helped me on projects personal and professional. I'd be happy to use them to help you in any way I can.Age
