Description
We are a Belgian couple. Simon is 32 years old and Rose is 30. Simon studied tourism and worked for the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne and later for the Belgian Alpine Club. He is comfortable with tourist hospitality and social media. Rose studied physical geography.
We love the mountains, climbing, hiking, and are used to camping outdoors.
We have renovated a house and are comfortable with masonry, woodworking, painting, natural plastering, and other construction tasks.
We love animals and grew up around sheep, goats, donkeys, chickens… Rose owns two horses. We are comfortable with the daily tasks needed to care for animals, and we can also help with building shelters or fences.
We both enjoy cooking as well.
We are currently traveling with our 4x4, which allows us to explore remote places.
We spent two weeks in southern Portugal for an amazing WWOOFing experience, and a month and a half volunteering in a mountain refuge in Montenegro. Both experiences were incredibly enriching and gave us a taste for long-term volunteering, which we believe is the best way to discover local culture, learn new skills, and create meaningful connections through sharing experiences.
