Description
My name is Phillip Oberschmid, I am 26 years old and I love traveling! I finished my studies in Business Psychology in April this year and then moved to New York for an internship in German-American politics.
Traveling has always been a big part of my life. I did a 6 month Roadtrip with a campervan through Europe and after that I traveled another 4 months with a backpack around the world:) Moreover I've studied in Boise, Idaho and have a girlfriend from Norway.
I love to get to know new people, new cultures, new ways of live, new thaughts, new skills and so on. Workaway is a great option and in my opinion it should be more popular! I am so grateful for all my memories with workaway! I love that we are able to connect with each other to get this experience and to get into the native lifestyle. I am open-minded, motivated and grateful for everything what will happen in this time. -

More details about your skills
I did various jobs in my life. A big part of my development was in one year, where I worked in a kindergarden with 50 children! It wasn´t always easy but the smile of one child is enough to sleep happy:) I love to play and have fun with children. Their honesty and unconcern are enormous and I think we adults can learn a lot from the kids! Moreover I did an Au-Pair in Hawaii.
My dad is a craftsmen and I worked for his company and also with him many years. I love to build/restore something and to see the result of the work. In my workaway in Florida I restalled the external walls of the house of my host! It was a lot of fun:)
I grew up with animals. My grandparents have chicken and my workaway time in Texas on a farm taught me a lot.
In my last workaway I've stayed in a rural area in Uganda and helped as a teacher in a school. Moreover I was part of the local community and it was just a unique time!
Summarized I am a open minded person and I think everything is possible, if you want it. My expectation of this journey with workaway is to get in contact with new things. I would love to try something new and to develop my mindset/skills. -
