*** 2025 : SPENDING ALL SUMMER IN ANGSBACKA, SWEDEN ***
Hey there, I'm Pascal!
I'm a 49 year old software engineer from Germany, living in France (speaking the language!), and now splitting my time between jobs and volunteering in rural, social or spiritual projects!
I do this because in this current phase I'm looking for more grounding in nature, more connection with interesting people and expanding my horizon.
I'm easy to be around, introvert but open and curious, enjoy doing the details, responsible, sociable but appreciate time on my own as well. I have volunteering experience in hospitality (3 months) and used to doing my own DIY around the house. I'm your typical unskilled city dweller but happy and curious to engange in farm and gardening work! I'm great with computers and trained as a professional photographer.
I've travelled a lot! Recent experiences (around three months each) have been:
- On the tracks of indigenous wisdom in Colombia,
- Exploring the "hippie vibe" of Pai and Koh Pha-Ngan in Thailand
- Volunteering at Ängsbacka retreat center in Sweden
My dream right now is to find grounding and connection and maybe a contemplative practice ! Slow my life down a little, more quality over quantity. Make more space for creative expression (at school, I used to write and play the piano and play theater). Continue personal development (e.g. spirituality/non dualism, tantra, trauma healing).

I'm most interested in working with nature. I've grown up in a house with a big garden and gardening work. However, I have to admit that I haven't kept up with it and mostly lost that connection. But I'm motivated.
I have done three months of volunteering in housekeeping.
I'm fluent in English, French and my native German and happy to engage in teaching or language exchange activities.
I've studied computer science, so I can help with web sites and the like, and I have an interest in photograpy and a sense for esthetics, although I'm not a designer.

Maybe it helped that we're both from Germany, I found Florian easy to relate to. He has a curious and inventive mindset and a huge workshop full of ideas in progress (notably a 3D scanner and printer).
