Description
Hello!
I was born by the sea side in Bretagne in 1997 and currently live in Brest. I’m taking a gap year before starting professional training in woodworking in September 2026. During this time, I’m especially interested in gaining practical experience in construction, manual work, and projects connected to sustainability, care for living beings, and intentional ways of living.
My professional background is in education and facilitation. I previously worked as a learning designer, facilitator, and university teacher, where I experimented with innovative pedagogical approaches to raise awareness about social and ecological crises. I also coached healthcare professionals to help them design and facilitate trainings within their areas of expertise, with the goal of creating learning experiences that are both impactful and meaningful — for learners as well as for trainers — and that lead to deeper, more lasting learning. More broadly, I enjoy helping individuals and organizations develop a systemic and complex understanding of the world and imagine creative responses to challenging situations. These experiences taught me how to work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and adapt to different environments.
Alongside this, I’ve had a wide range of practical and human-centered experiences: working with children as a camp monitor, animating activities and supporting disabled adults in their daily lives, volunteering in permaculture projects (through Workaway some years ago), managing teams and projects, working in retail, organizing sports events, and coaching children in gymnastics and kayaking. More recently, I’ve been learning mechanics and volunteering with a local association that helps women repair their bicycles, as well as being involved in a cooperative supermarket in my city.
I genuinely enjoy being in contact with animals and people of all ages. I like interacting with children, learning from their way of seeing the world, and taking care of them. I also feel comfortable and interested in spending time with elderly people and with more vulnerable persons, including people with disabilities, and offering presence, attention, and practical support when needed.
I’m someone who enjoys learning deeply and doing things with care. I try to bring mindfulness into my daily actions, paying attention to how my work impacts people, living beings, and environments; which also means I can be a bit of a perfectionist. In a working environment, I appreciate clear instructions when tasks are new, while also enjoying spaces where creativity, initiative, and problem-solving are welcome.
Personality-wise, I’ve grown more calm and intentional over time. I value quiet moments and reflection, but I also have a playful, curious, and child-like spirit once I feel comfortable. I love meaningful conversations, from practical know-how to philosophical discussions about life, values, and the world we live in.
I’m particularly inspired by people who live in alignment with their values, those who are passionate about what they do, those who enjoy questioning the meaning of things, and those who carry both practical skills and a free spirit.
I’m happy to share my knowledge, my energy, and my enthusiasm, and I’m equally grateful for everything I can learn along the way.
