Description
Hi! We are Mireia and Steve, a couple currently taking a year off to travel the world throughout 2026 and experience life in new places.
I (Mireia) am from Barcelona, Spain, but I've been living in London, UK for the past 6 years. There is where I met Steve, which is born and raised in the outskirts of London. I am a neuroscience researcher and Steve is a data engineer working on electric vehicle charging.
We've both taken a sabbatical year in 2026 to travel. We are keen to see new places and get to know new cultures, and would love to help contribute to something while we do.
In our free time, we love hiking and activities outdoors, spending time with animals, watching films, playing board games whenever we get the chance and working on creative hobbies and crafts. I've done acting since I was young while Steve is a tennis player.

We’re both hardworking, reliable, and quick to learn new skills. We’re comfortable around animals and have previous experience with house and pet sitting, so we’re happy to help with animal care. We’re also active people who enjoy spending time outdoors and don’t mind physical work. Mireia is creative and loves crafts such as crochet and painting, while Steve loves playing tennis and enjoys cooking and learning new recipes.
