Description
My name is Mathieu, I'm from Switzerland. I just finished my studies in marine/environmental sciences and I'm starting a new chapter in my life in New Zealand, a country I have always dreamed of visiting. I seek to help and contribute to projects that promote a simpler, more nature-connected and more people-centered world.
I am a very curious and versatile person and I don't hesitate to seize every opportunity that allows me to experience something new. I am interested in music, nature, sports... and generally anything I don't know yet. I enjoy getting lost in deep conversations about the meaninglessness of life and the world. While I appreciate spending time alone, I also crave connecting with others and building relationships. I look forward to potentially sharing new adventures with you! -

More details about your skills
Through my studies in marine science, I have acquired both scientific and practical skills, I spent a month participating in an oceanographic expedition on a ship, worked on an aquaculture farm or at an oceanographic station, performing both scientific and practical tasks..Outside of my studies, I worked for five months on a mountain farm in central Switzerland, looking after cows and sheep and doing all kinds of manual labour: gardening, mowing grass, clearing brush, weeding, putting up fences, cleaning, etc. I am familiar with and enjoy manual labour. Having worked as a piano teacher and science facilitator, I also have considerable experience with children. I am fit, motivated, resourceful, and I am a quick learner.

What else ...
I'm a musician: I play the piano, the drums and a bit of guitar. Music is a big part of my life and I am delighted to share musical moments! I have also been very keen on water activities over the last few years and would love to continue living around surfing! However, I remain Swiss and will always have a strong connection to the mountains. New Zealand therefore seems like the ideal country for me!
