Description
Hello, my name is Mathieu. I'm a 29-year-old French man.
Since February 2023, I've cycled 28 000 kilometers from France to Australia, passing through 23 countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
In Indonesia, over 7 months, I cycled from Sumatra to West Papua. Now, I would like to contribute to the welfare of Indonesian children and nature.
I have a bachelor's degree in environmental science and have worked 3 years as a field botanist in France. I have also participated in biodiversity awareness workshops in schools in France.
I'm not a native English speaker, but after traveling 2 years abroad and spending 9 months in Australia, I reached a good B2 level in English on the CEFR test. My Indonesian is rudimentary, just enough to have casual conversations. I know around 300 words in Indonesian.
I would love to share my enthusiasm for people and nature with children. This volunteer work is part of my desire to become more involved in education and to learn the Indonesian language. By staying in the same place with you for several months, I hope to build relationships and have a positive impact on your community.
