Description
Hi! I’m Daniel — originally from Romania, but over the past few years I’ve been living and working across Europe, mostly in Norway, Greece, the Netherlands and Belgium, and back home. I’ve worked in hospitality and service jobs mostly, and through these experiences I’ve learned how much I enjoy connecting with people, adapting to new cultures, and learning something new every day.
What motivates me most is the idea of growth through experience — stepping out of my comfort zone, learning new skills, and contributing wherever I can. I really enjoy helping others, sharing ideas and stories, and creating a good atmosphere around me, whether it’s at work or during my travels.
I’m passionate about nature and being outside as most as I can, hiking, photography, coffee, and cooking good food — and I’m happiest when I can combine those things with good company and meaningful conversations. I also love learning about different lifestyles and traditions; I think that’s one of the best things about traveling and Workaway.
People often describe me as friendly, easygoing, and reliable.As I have been growing up in the rural area of Transylvania, Romania I really enjoy working with my hands,being outside,keeping things organized, and being part of a place where everyone supports each other. I’m also comfortable working alone and taking initiative when needed.
For me, Workaway is not just a way to travel — it’s a way to connect, learn, and give something back, while discovering new ways of living and seeing the world.

When I'm travelling and meeting new people from very different countries, I like to try to learn how to communicate at least some phrases in their native language. As the years went, I still have some basic language skills from every person that I met and had a conversation with, and I really enjoy learning languages from a person and through daily conversation, rather than learning by the book. It’s something that feels natural and meaningful to me, because every phrase I learn carries a memory of the person who taught it. As well, I would like to try and teach English as well, since sharing languages feels like a great way to connect with others and build new friendships.
