Hola!
My name is Marine, I am a 30-year old French woman.

I am starting a long term trip in October, where I plan on travelling low carbon once I am in Central & Latin America. I want to discover each and every latin country, through volunteer work. Meet its people, its culture, its tradition, and give back as much as I can, with my experiences, my spirit and work. ✨

🍃Sharing my core values concerning ecology. Living consciously, being wise about energy and water consumption. Living the closest to zero waste possible.

🌽Permaculture and self-sufficiency are two areas in which I wish to keep on learning : I had a few volunteering experiences during the last 8 years I have been on Workaway, both in temperate and tropical climates.

🍁My personal adage for the last decade has been, and still is “Less is more and frees us”.

⛰️Be immersed in nature away from the unnatural ways of the cities. Be amazed by wild animals in their natural habitat.

🥘A lot of cooking : I cook mostly vegetarian, and I also love to experiment with vegan alternatives. But I can eat everything, including meat, which I cook for my family.

🤸 Being fit and looooooving sports so much, I am happy to perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
At home I practice various sports throughout the week, from cardio shadow-boxing sessions, jogging, cycling, roller-skating, zumba, up to high intensity interval training sessions. Plus yoga from time to time.

💡Organized, logic and pragmatic, I am a solution oriented person, always looking for optimizing my own efficiency.

I have been working for a non profit organization, for 4 ½ years, which organizes holidays for mentally disabled adults in France. I am now taking a 18 month leave to live my dreams.

🏘️I wish to get truly involved in different projects, help families, communities, eco-villages, so I might call one of them home one day if it feels right.

Get away from an exclusively capitalist world, we humans have so much more to give and exchange : time, knowledge, kindness of heart, experiences and stories.

☀ ️Expatriating to a Central or Latin American country is a possibility for me.

🌻I definitely wish to achieve at least partial self-sufficiency at some point in my life.

Since I am a “millennial” I am good with computers, internet, Canva, and experimenting a bit with Wordpress.

I speak a fluent english and an intermediate spanish ; but my goal is to achieve fluency in Spanish within the year!

Me llamo Marine, soy una mujer francesa de 30 años.

En octubre comienzo un viaje a largo plazo, durante el cual planeo viajar con una huella de carbono baja una vez que llegue a Centroamérica y América Latina. Quiero descubrir cada país latino a través del voluntariado: conocer a su gente, su cultura, sus tradiciones, y devolver todo lo que pueda con mis experiencias, mi energía y mi trabajo. ✨

🍃Comparto valores fundamentales relacionados con la ecología. Vivo de forma consciente, cuidando el consumo de energía y agua, y tratando de acercarme lo más posible al estilo de vida cero residuos.

🌽La permacultura y la autosuficiencia son dos áreas en las que deseo seguir aprendiendo. He tenido varias experiencias de voluntariado en los últimos 8 años a través de Workaway, tanto en climas templados como tropicales.

🍁Mi lema personal durante la última década ha sido, y sigue siendo: “Menos es más y nos libera”.

⛰️Busco sumergirme en la naturaleza, lejos de los modos de vida artificiales de las ciudades, y maravillarme con los animales salvajes en su hábitat natural.

🥘Cocino mucho: principalmente comida vegetariana, y me encanta experimentar con alternativas veganas. Pero también como de todo, incluida la carne, que suelo cocinar para mi familia.

🤸Soy una persona activa y me encanta el deporte, así que estoy feliz de realizar tareas físicas a diario.
En casa practico varios deportes durante la semana: desde sesiones de cardio tipo boxeo en sombra, correr, andar en bici, patinar, zumba, hasta entrenamientos de intervalos de alta intensidad. También practico yoga de vez en cuando.

💡Organizada, lógica y pragmática, soy una persona orientada a encontrar soluciones y siempre buscando optimizar mi propia eficiencia.
He trabajado durante 4 años y medio en una organización sin fines de lucro que organiza vacaciones para adultos con discapacidad mental en Francia. Ahora estoy tomando una pausa de 18 meses para vivir mis sueños.

🏘️Quiero involucrarme de verdad en diferentes proyectos, ayudar a familias, comunidades, eco-aldeas… y quizás, si así lo siento, llamar a uno de esos lugares “hogar” algún día.

🫶Vivir una vida que se parezca más a mí misma.
Alejarme de un mundo exclusivamente capitalista, porque los seres humanos tenemos mucho más para dar e intercambiar: tiempo, conocimiento, bondad, experiencias e historias.

☀️Expatriarme a un país de Centroamérica o América Latina es una posibilidad para mí.

🌻Definitivamente, deseo lograr al menos una autosuficiencia parcial en algún momento de mi vida.
Como buena “millennial”, me llevo bien con la informática, internet, Canva, y estoy empezando a experimentar un poco con Wordpress.

Hablo inglés con fluidez y tengo un nivel intermedio de español, pero mi
objetivo es alcanzar fluidez en español dentro del año.

I have professional translation skills (french to english and reverse, and spanish to french)
I can assume the position of a hotel receptionist as I did so for 6 months a few years ago, thus I also know a bit about hotel management
I have experience in being a waitress and a cook as well
I have management skills and I am an organized girl, with a very pragmatic way of working and with a very open-mind.
I am also a sociable person and I love to help out!
Plus I am willing to learn a lot, in various domains :)
