    Description

We're Daniel and Camila. We live in downtown Bogotá. From here, we strive to apply the principles of permaculture and agroecology to our daily lives.
I'm grateful to live in this welcoming place in the midst of a hostile urban environment. Little by little, we've made improvements to feel more confortable at home with our interests and principles. My partner enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, interacting with plants, and exploring welfare through possibilities of corporal movement (like Thai massage and Contact Impro). I studied architecture. I'm interested in construction and carpentry.

One of our priorities is the efficient and conscient use of water. That's why we have a rainwater harvesting system, and we store water that we can reuse for watering plants or flushing the toilet. We also have a dry toilet option on the terrace. It doesn't mandatory to use it. But we really thank you if you do it.

We don't use commercial soaps nor shampoos. So, please bring ecological products. If you don't know ecological options, we can teach you about it and show you what we know.

Somos Daniel y Camila.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Every day we do something different. We prefer to develop each small project slowly and try to enjoy the process. We like to go for walks in the park, play sports, to know new cultural spaces or sustainability proposals in the city, and frequently hike in the mountains or through wetlands. sometimes we visit community gardens . Some days, friends come to visit us.

We want to make our home a replicable model for living in an urban environment in a more harmonious way. On a daily basis, we have small projects: adapting low-tech devices, maintaining and organizing the space, carpentry projects, repairing and maintaining tools, cooking with local and wild ingredients, and caring for the plants we live with. We are interested in learning about nonviolent communication or different community conflict resolution tools.

We hope volunteers will support us in some of the aforementioned tasks; this may vary depending on what we are developing each week. We would also like to produce audiovisual content to publish on social media and show a bit of our project to people with similar interests. We are willing to listen and implement any proposals or ideas you may have for the space.
