Description
Hello! My name is Maria and I am from Germany. I recently completed a ranger training program and my dream is to work as a ranger in Germany in the future. My background is a bit unusual – I originally studied museum management but worked in an office for the last five years – but over time I realized that my real passion is nature, wildlife, and working outdoors.
I love spending time in nature, doing physical work and sport, and learning more about animals and ecosystems. Volunteering abroad is a wonderful way for me to gain more practical experience, while also discovering a new culture and way of life.
I am motivated, reliable, and happy to help with all kinds of outdoor or community projects. What excites me most is the chance to contribute to something meaningful, meet new people, and share experiences across cultures. -

More details about your skills
I recently completed a ranger training program in Germany, where I gained experience in trail maintenance, wildlife monitoring, and general park management. I am physically fit and enjoy doing outdoor, hands-on work, from gardening and construction to conservation tasks.
I also have a background in museum management and have worked in museum education at an open-air museum, especially with school groups, which taught me how to organize activities, engage with visitors, and communicate clearly.
Additionally, I have experience working with animals, particularly horses and dogs, and enjoy caring for and understanding them in a natural setting.
I am reliable, motivated, and eager to learn new skills. I adapt quickly to new environments, enjoy working with others, and am excited to contribute to projects that protect nature and wildlife. -

What else ...
I’m passionate about history and love bringing it to life through Living History, focusing on Slavs and Vikings from the 9th–10th century. I also enjoy playing handball and other team sports – I really thrive when working with others and having fun while reaching a common goal.
