I am a travel enthusiast for more than ten years: It all started with a semester abroad in New Zealand in 2010. Since then I used every opportunity to spend time abroad. In the first years as part of my studies which I spent in the Netherlands, Scotland and Sweden. After completing my studies I worked and travelled in Canada for a couple of months and since I ended up in serious working life (2015) I used my precious 30 days of holiday for trips to the US, Columbia and South Africa. In 2021 I took a three-month Sabbatical which me and my boyfriend used for a road trip through South Africa/Namibia and during which I fell in love with Southern Africa. In summer 2024 my boyfriend and I have started into an even bigger adventure: We quit our jobs in Germany and moved into our Land Rover Defender to travel full time for at least one year.

I really like home stays and work & travel since it gives you the opportunity to get a glimpse into other peoples lives and discover a country off the beaten tracks. There is nothing better than meeting people you feel connected to far away from home :-)

Maike and Steffen stayed for two weeks on my small farm and helped me with different projects and tasks.

Maike & Steffan were such an adaptable couple. They stayed here for a month and fitted in with the routine the animals and the tasks immediately. We stayed at Sandra´s Finca in February and really enjoyed the sun and the mild temperatures. It is a beautiful place and the dogs are very kind and easy to handle.
