  Description

  I'm Fafah, a wife, a mother of 3 lovely kids, 16, 13 and 4years old.I run an English immersion school. The first and only school in our region where English is the main medium of instruction, only the preschool and elementary children are taught in English but the secondary kids are taught in French. The teachers are not very fluent in English though so we need native speakers or good speakers of English to mingle with the kids.
  I want to provide a better quality education for kids in my region. English immersion schools exist only in very big cities and they are very expensive, but many parents want to send their children to English immersion schools thanks to the domination of the English in many fields right now. Thus, I decided to start my English immersion school, I wanted to provide the opportunities to kids in small towns like mine.
  
  The school fee is very cheap, just to fairly pay teachers, we also accept smart kids who want to join us but whose parents can't afford the school fee, for free. There are 12 kids who study at our school for free right now.Thus, unfortunately we can't afford to pay workawayers,
  
  What do we need? English native speakers or someone who speak English fluently to lead activities in English with our kids and teenagers or to lead the English club in the school.
  If you are good at maths or have taught Maths, that skill can be very helpful too.
  
  Our school needs a website, if you can help with that, you are more than welcome.
  There is a dance club and guitare club in the school, so, any help with these are welcome too.
  The title is English but if you speak English or French, you can help us, we need French speakers as well, The medium of teaching is French for the secondary classes.
  
  What can we give in exchange of your help?
  We can provide a room for you, free lunch at the school canteen during the school days if you can eat local food and a help to do shopping at the local market so you can prepare your own meal in the evening and morning. Our location is 40mn from the second most visited national parks where you can see varieties of lemurs and numerous endemic plant species. We can give you a free ride there, .
  We can also help organize your tour if you want to visit different places in Madagascar;
  We can also help to find a family ( from the parents) who can host you for a weekend or a whole week if you want to expeience a homestay family .

  Travellers will get a free room and a free tour around the city.
  The travellers will live in the school compound where we also live so they will have opportunities to experience the family life.
  They will have the opportunity to mingle with all the students and if they want to work in the field of education, it's kind of a real training.
  The travellers will live near a rainforest where they can observd many varieties of lemurs, endemic of Madagascar.
  The travellers will benefit the enthusiasm and friendliness of our students and will have opportunities to try local foods.

  Help

  First, the help we need involves teaching, so we dedicate the first week on basic training and showing around, thus, we want to precise that we need someone who can stay 1 month or more.
  We need someone who likes and feel at ease being around children and teenagers.
  We want someone to give language immersion to our children, by reading them books, doing activities like coloring, cutting and drawing but led in English.
  We want someone who can help or lead the guitare club, our English club or teach English to the teenagers , I will provide the curriculum.
  You can also teach dance steps or song in English.
  We also need French teachers , not necessarily professional teachers.
  People in my country like dancing and singing so it's an asset if you like singing, dancing or music in general.
  We need someone who can create those free website;
  Help with Construction plan and design for the whole shool compound is welcome too.
  So, if you have some knowledge about some of these and you are willing to help, please feel free to contact ;
  If you are good at maths and can help kids to understand and like Maths, that's very welcome too.
  Finally, we just bought a piecd land, we want to make it like a countryside house with a garden, so someone who can help us with the landscaping is very welcome.
  We are a flexible family, we re sure you will have a great time with us.

  I speak Malagasy as my mother tongue. I speak French because this is our second official language, I speak English as I am an English teacher, I speak Japanese a little because I have studied and lived in Japan for 18months. I want to improve my Japanese and I want to learn Spanish and italian in the future. I just love learning languages

  Accommodation

  A separate room downstair in the school compound. The room has a small sink where you can prepare your breakfast and dinner. There is a gas stove and a gas tank for you use, also some basic kitchen tools are available. There is a only one bed , double bed where two people who can share a bed can fit.The bathroom is quite small and there is no running water for the moment;
  We live in a simple place where there is no running water and we need to heat water everytime we take a bath.
  
  The workaway can eat with us as a family or with the students at lunch time however I want to precise that we are neither vegetarian nor vegan, so we cannot prepare non meat eaters food. Thus, workawayers can prepare their own food.
  
  Volunteers are not meant to pay any fee.
  However, if they travel or do activities outside the project, they will be responsible of their own expense. They will also pay for their transport even if we can help arrange them for their safety;

  What else ...

  Travellers will be able to visit local tourist sights but we can also help organize national visits where they can enjoy the beauty of our country.
  Our town is so small so you can do everything by walking but the msin means of transport is rickshaw.

  I do not have decent internet but there are local restaurants just some minutes walk from our place, tech nomad can go there, order a drink and work there for hours. The restaurant have very decent wifi.
