Description
My name is Wenche and together with my partner we have a smallstead farm about 1hrs 30 from Oslo. The farm has a vegetable garden, cows, sheep, chickens and ducks, rabbits and pigs. There is some land of grassvegetation that is being converted into winterfood for the animals during summertime.
there is also some fruit trees and berries and we want to feed humans and animals on the farm with this throughout the year. Produce from the vegetable gardening fruits is for our own consumption.
I have worked as volunteer many years throughout europe and i also had a farm (hence feedback under) in the spanish pyrenees where i had volunteers with me and it would be really nice to share this place and experiences with volunteers as well. In 2014 i was actually a volunteer at this very farm.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our dream is to be as much a self-sufficient as possible, making cheese, the meat, vegetable garden, working the fields etc. so if you are interested in a self-sufficient lifestyle andhave fun with animals, this might be the place. I have worked as a volunteer, speak several languages and travelled extensively, i could also give you advice, learn a language or just share experiences. Otherwise i have also lived in Spain(12 yrs), France(4 yrs), England(2 yrs) and Norway, i have passed the atlantic on a sailing boat twice, i love oldtime music 60-70-80`s, card games, reading, learning new things. And there is a piano in the house.
Help
The experience shared is mainly help with the animals and vegetable garden, feeding-mucking, fencing, planting, picking weeding. DIY projects and any refurbishment needed as well as having fun with the animals, go fishing and just share stories.

The house has 3 bedrooms, we would be sharing common space. There is another small cabin that can also be used when family is not staying. There are also possibilities to park van or even tents summer time. For food, we would share duties for making, breakfast and lunch will be easy and light, dinner as the main meal, produce will be provided. Our plan is to be self-sufficient so if you need or want cookies, chocolate or chips or basically any industry made food, you would need to provide for that yourselves.

Leaving this spot of land was not easy, it’s a beautiful, wild, rough, still and full of unique energy place, it’s an amazing place to go running, hiking or just being in silence surrounded by nature.
The work is very verifiable, but the focus is on… read more
