    Description

Hi everyone! We had lots of requests and we are going to host from october 2025

Hi! We are Carolina and Federico, we are part of an interspecifc family made of 4 human members and 17 animals. We have them in different shapes and breeds: donkeys, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, cats and a sticky dog. We take care of them and don't force any interaction which is spontaneous.
We live in Tuscia, 4 km from Viterbo, a beautiful medieval city, 30 minutes from Bolsena lake and 15 minutes from Vico lake, they are volcanic lakes where is possible to swim. We are in the country surrounded by a beautiful land with hazelnut trees, fruit trees and olive trees from which we produce oil for our own consumption, vedgetables and jams. We don't use any chemicals and we mostly cook vegetarian meals (but not only!). My husband is vegetarian, I'm pescetarian and our kids eat everything, so we are very flexible! We have two kids: a boy of 9 and a girl of 14 years old who love to talk, eat and meet new people, so we will appreciate an open mind to speak to them and maybe play! We are willing to host families, couples or lonely workaway travellers. We have a small house in front of us which can host 4 people. There is one bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and a small kitchen so if you have special needs you can also cook by yourself. There is no internet in the small house but if you need it we have it in our house. We'll be glad to share lunch and dinner, while breakfast is a private moment for us.
For our family is very important to come in contact with other cultures and practise other languages. We love to cook, but we are also interested to taste your cusine! At the moment we can host from the first week of september. You'll be busy with us for maximum 4 hours a day and you can choose 2 days off.
There is no public transport here, but we go to the city of Viterbo nearly every day and we can accompany you.
If you are willing to come and visit us bring your swimming trunks because there are many hot springs to visit!
    ABOUT US
We came to live here 4 years ago, we used to live near Rome but we chose this part of Lazio because is beautiful and less caotic. Here we can be in touch with nature and enjoy life!
I work for a non profit organization that supports women who are domestic violence victims and promotes gender equality projects in schools. My husband is an IT manager and loves music, he plays bass and guitar. We both love to travell and meet new people!
Elena is our eldest daugther, she loves reading, playing the piano and learning new languages, she has an amazing memory! She is very sociable!
Gianluca is turning 10, he loves comics, playing basketball, he's very sensitive and he's a great dancer. He loves to take it easy!
We all love the studio Ghibli films and Tim Burton!
We are all great workers, but we also like to chill out, especially in the evening or at weekends when we love to relaxe and have a glass of wine in the garden or in the historical centre of Viterbo or near the lake!
Rules are important for us but also flexibility because life itself requires it and we apply this thought to education too!
