I am Shweta. I grew up in Mumbai, and over the last 18 years have lived in the middle east, Indonesia and Thailand. I have been hosting couchsurfers and also guesting with them since 2009.

A CS guest told me about workaway two years ago and ever since I have been really attracted to this idea.

I have always been a city dweller, a mountain holidayer, a multi day camping type hiker, but with always a deep desire go to attempt working in a farm or a quiet town. Workaway is providing me a great opportunity to try and test that parallel life and I am grateful for that

While my profile may seem new on Workaway as by the time I got introduced to WA, the pandemic came and then I havent really gone overseas for a holiday. However having lived with wonderful locals in over 30 countries I can assure you that I will come with the cultural sensibilties and directness of commmunication that is necessary to make a workaway experience a joyful one.

I love nature, dogs, long walks, trying new food, interacting with young children and cleaning. I would love to help out on farms, with animals, with families, helping in the garden, kitchen, etc.

I am not much of a party animal, I prefer to earlier and wake up with the sun. Having said that I am not militant about it :) If there is a beautiful barbecue on a summer evening in the yard, I am not gonna turn into a pumpkin at 11 pm.

I am also currently learning Italian and Spanish and I would love to have WA opportunities to practice either of these languages.

Soy Shweta. Crecí en Bombay y durante los últimos 18 años he vivido en Oriente Medio, Indonesia y Tailandia. He hospedado a couchsurfers y también he sido su huésped desde 2009.

Un invitado de CS me habló de Workaway hace dos años y desde entonces me ha atraído mucho la idea.

Siempre he sido urbanita, me encantan las vacaciones en la montaña y el senderismo, pero siempre he tenido un profundo deseo de trabajar en una granja o en un pueblo tranquilo. Workaway me ofrece una gran oportunidad para experimentar esa vida paralela y estoy muy agradecida por ello.

Aunque mi perfil en Workaway pueda parecer nuevo, ya que cuando conocí Workaway llegó la pandemia y no había viajado al extranjero de vacaciones, tras haber vivido con gente maravillosa en más de 30 países, puedo asegurarles que contaré con la sensibilidad cultural y la comunicación directa necesarias para que una experiencia Workaway sea una experiencia placentera.

Me encanta la naturaleza, los perros, los paseos largos, probar comida nueva, interactuar con niños pequeños y limpiar. Me encantaría ayudar en granjas, con animales, con familias, en el jardín, la cocina, etc.

No soy muy fiestera; prefiero madrugar y despertarme con el sol. Dicho esto, no soy una persona extremista :) Si hay una barbacoa estupenda en el jardín una tarde de verano, no me voy a convertir en una calabaza a las 11 de la noche.

También estoy aprendiendo italiano y español y me encantaría tener oportunidades en Australia Occidental para practicar cualquiera de estos idiomas.
