Hello there! We are Lucy and Camila, a Brazilian couple, that's been together for 9 years, with a love for nature and a passion for learning and growing 😊
Nature is also our happy place! Hiking, camping, and just being surrounded by nature make us feel at home. We’re also big animal lovers and super passionate about living eco-friendly. We believe in making a positive impact on the world, no matter how small, and we’re always up for doing our part. We’re both kind-hearted, friendly, and creative at our core, with open minds and a strong work ethic.
--- A bit about us individually ---
💜 Lucy
I'm a joyful, easygoing person who believes in spreading happiness wherever I go. I'm passionate about dancing, singing, yoga, reading, arts and crafts, and am currently learning the acoustic guitar. I’m very dedicated to what I commit to, always honest about what I know, and never shy to ask for help when I need it. Professionally, I'm a filmmaker specializing in video editing and motion design, focused on creating content that adds value to people's lives.
💚 Camila
I'm a calm, observant, and affectionate person. I grew up as a girl scout and today I'm a Scout Leader, it has taught me a lot about leadership, teamwork, and the importance of giving back to others. I love taking pictures of flowers and birds, playing team sports, motorcycles, and listening to people who like to share their life experiences. My passions are crafting and building furniture with natural wood, my curiosity drives me to fix things that can be reused. And I am learning to play the piano.
We've learned a lot from being workawayers, especially that there is so much we can give & so much we can learn from others, it's been a transformational journey and we've come back for another round, now in Canada, to help out however we can.
We appreciate the simple things in life✨

More details about your skills
🏠 Helping around the house:
We have plenty of experience cleaning both our own and other people’s homes. We’re comfortable with all sorts of household tasks: vacuuming, doing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning windows and bathrooms, grocery shopping, and general cleaning duties. We take pride in keeping things tidy.
🍲 Cooking:
As for our cooking skills, we’re used to preparing our own meals, which are usually quite simple. However, we’re fast learners and would make great assistant cooks. We’d love to expand our repertoire, particularly with vegan and vegetarian recipes.
🌳 Gardening:
We’ve done plenty of weeding and landscaping as Workawayers and aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty. Camila has great experience with cutting tools and we've both handled electric machinery before.
🔨Repairs and Building:
We’ve fixed many things around the house, like installing plugs, repairing roofs, preparing cement, and unblocking sinks, drains, and toilets. We love DIY projects. We’re also experienced in sanding and painting—whether it’s walls, bicycles, crafts, or just about anything else. We’d love to improve our woodworking skills, and Lucy is absolutely obsessed with the idea of turning a van into a cozy mobile home.
🐨 Animal Care:
Lucy: "I have a special place in my heart for non-human animals (although I am very fond of human ones as well!)". We understand that they should be treated with respect & care because their lives matter just as much as ours. We've had pets over the years so caring for them is definitely on the list, and Camila has cared for rescued animals as well.
📚Teaching:
Lucy has volunteered teaching English to children and teenagers here in Brazil through project-based learning. And Camila teaches young Scouts to discover their potential, build confidence, and gain skills they can carry with them for life.
🧺 Organize and declutter:
We have experience working in spaces that require deep cleaning and organization, including helping with clutter and sorting through belongings. We’re patient, non-judgmental, and know how to handle tasks that require a mix of physical work and emotional sensitivity. We love helping create organized, manageable environments that can improve people's lives!
🎬 Film:
Lucy is a filmmaking graduate and a passionate video editor & motion designer.
If you have any projects on the way, I’d be enthusiastic to help, or we can come up with projects together. I'm especially keen on making videos that raise awareness of environmental and social issues or promote an important cause. I can also help with other computer, photography, and social media skills. In the line of film, I've also worked as a set producer and in the art department.

To wrap it up, we’re proactive, organized, tidy, communicative, and creative problem solvers. We’re hard workers who always aim to do our best, and we quickly learn and adapt to new concepts with ease.Age

Frank and Carol are fantastic people, we got along so well, when I left after just five days it felt like I have known them for years. Their property is beautiful and I got practically a whole cottage all to myself with a panoramic view of the lake! It's just a little piece of paradise.

Emile is nice and very flexible.
My job was to paint parts of the house. A bit demanding but to me, it was pretty fun :)
And you have the freedom to make your own schedule.
Just keep in mind food is not included so you'll have to provide your own.
Thanks for having me,
Lucy

Martin is a very joyous and kind host with a big heart. I was enchanted with his Magasin General, the old decor, the products, it all has a magical touch like you're taken back in time.
