Description

Hi ! I'm Lena, I'm 25 and from the North of France. I just finished a job in the International Relations department of a university, I did not enjoy sitting at a desk all day and I am taking a few months off before figuring out what to do next !

When I was 19 I travelled to Ireland and volunteered with Workaway for 2 months. I helped cleaning and doing maintenance in a hostel, dog-sitted, helped in the kitchen of a restaurant... It was such a wonderful experience, such a great way to travel, to discover a new country and culture, and to meet people, I knew I would do it again someday.

Since this last Workaway experience, I finished my studies with a master's degree in international cooperation, I lived in Spain for a year (Erasmus and internship), in 3 different cities in France and I both volunteered and worked in non profits (mostly with refugees).

For this next adventure, I would love to join places close to nature and if possible in a community to discover another way of living. I can help out with cooking, welcoming guests, organising events, cleaning... I would also really like to learn new skills like gardening, building / renovation, maintenance or taking care of animals. If you want to practice your French with me, it would be a pleasure too !

I would define myself as a joyful, calm and curious person. My main hobbies are singing and playing the guitar (especially with other people, I get shy singing or playing alone haha) and spending time in nature /outdoors, mostly hiking and preferably in the mountains! But I love many others and I'm always interested in trying new activities. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories or learn about their cultures.
