Description
I am a recent university graduate (I finished in late 2024) looking for a change of pace and cultural exchange while I take some time away from the hustle and bustle of doing a Master’s in London.

I’m an international student from Germany who has lived in Canada and the Netherlands in the past - and now, I’ll be staying in the UK for a while.

I’ve used Workaway in the past (most recently in 2023) and met a lot of incredible people while making memories that I still cherish. I’ve looked after dogs, horses and chickens, tended to gardens and ensured welcoming spaces for guests at a camping ground and at a Buddhist meditation centre by doing housekeeping. All of these were places where I gained new perspectives on life and got to know people outside of my own bubble. I can’t wait to experience that again!

Aside from that I love watching movies and playing board games with friends, sharing stories at dinner and I also have a passion for creative writing!

I prefer environments with open communication and I love to become part of the community wherever I live - my favourite part about Workaway is meeting people from kinds of different backgrounds and countries :)

I've done a lot of different work in the past - I used to volunteer at a hospital of the Red Cross, and worked on farms (mainly with dogs and horses), at a Buddhist Center (where I was mainly gardening and building furniture) and on a campsite (doing gardening and housekeeping / cleaning for the guests). During my time at university in the Netherlands, I was a board member of a local student organisation where I was mainly responsible for organising and promoting events.

I also used to work for a big events coordinator in the hospitality industry, where I was both organising shift assignments for 100+ employees and jumping in as a waitress whenever it was needed.

Since I have been living on my own for the past 3 years, I have learned how to keep living spaces clean and cook meals for myself and of course also for other people. I love sharing recipes and techniques with others and some of my favorite work at my previous Workaways was cooking for everyone!

This is a truly special place! The house and its surroundings are beautiful and as soon as I arrived, I was part of a community of kind and welcoming people.
