Hi! My name is Kat, and I’m 23 years old. I’m half Dutch, half German, but I’ve lived in the Netherlands my entire life. Nevertheless, I have taken every opportunity so far to travel and explore new places, which is something that is very important to me. I love creating in any form, whether it’s cooking, painting, or writing or other passion project I have at the moment. I’m also an outdoor enthusiast and always looking for ways to weave little adventures into my daily life.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Geography, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Youth, Education, and Society as I’ve realized that working with children and making a direct impact is what drives me most. Growing up in the countryside, I feel at my best when I am surrounded by nature and animals and being part of kind of community.

My experience includes tutoring and working as a homework counselor in the Netherlands, as well as participating in teaching programs in Nepal and Sri Lanka. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in gardening, property maintenance, and eco-projects through previous Workaway experiences and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty! Having grown up in an artist family, I have always been drawn to crafty creative activities and I have an eye for making things look good.
