Hello, my name's Julia !
I'm French (originating from Lyon) but I've been living in Switzerland (Geneva) for almost 15 years.
I translate texts written in English, Spanish or Italian into French. I also copy-write for Voyageurs du Monde, take care of children in schools, teach, volunteer in the organization of cultural festivals in Geneva (world music and dance festivals, but also Latin-American cinema festival)... !
Needless to say that, as a person that grew up in a bicultural family (French and Italian), I'm passionate about foreign languages and intercultural communication, and travelling, discovering, learning/growing and connecting with people from different cultures that are naturally open-minded and offering other ways of understanding life is one of my main reasons for living. I love exchanging and sharing, feeling helpful to other people, collaborating in a win win spirit and enjoying Life ! I adapt easily and I think I'm quite serious and very reliable. 🌞

Communication in general in French and in my other languages, a bit of teaching and entertainment too (social and cultural activities for children/childcare, travel guide for tourists, for example), administrative and computer work.
Different experiences in welcoming, informing, orientating public or customers (front desk in hotels/customer service, information desks in festivals, company information line), helping in the organization and realization of events and communication around them.
Gardening and farming/Environmental conservation and sustainable practices (woofing experiences in Corsica, help to my parents in our countryside house!). Animal handling and care.
General maintenance, cooking.
DIY, building and painting : although I experienced a bit this in the framework of my personal experience and of one of my workaway stays in the Dominican Republic, I'm willing to learn and get more experience in that !

Arts in general, music, dance and cinema in particular. I dance on a regular basis Brazilian samba de gafieira. I listen to almost all musical genres, but appreciate deep silence too. And above all, Nature's sounds.
LUSH NATURE and beach lover (🐠). Hiking and sports in general (swimming, volleyball, skiing... would love to try kite-surf).
Knowledge in natural preventive medicinal practices (especially dietary, phyto medecine and a bit of essential oils, but also energetics and traditional yoga, mindfulness)
I really enjoy exchanging and sharing knowledge, skills, life stories/paths, hobbies, fun moments and meeting and getting to know people while needing a few solitary moments to recover and "digest" peacefully all what I'm living ! -
