Description
We have a 30 acre lifestlye block, 25 mins from Motueka with cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, bees and 6 horses/ponies. There is a large veggie garden which provides most of our vegetables, tunnel house and an orchard that we are slowly turning into a food forest. we try to eat as much as possible from our land so most meat will come from our property, or from the surrounding valley.
Our projects include, gardening/landscaping in our veggie garden and orchard, help with animals/kids, fencing, cleaning paddocks, making mulch building projects that need doing. There seems to be a never ending list of future projects! but some of these include building a pond, creating a mudbrick pizza oven, opening a veg stall, cider making and more native planting.
Our horses are all currently in work Kate trains young horses and along with Kuri compete in showjumping. We can only offer riding to experienced riders as our horses are not suited to novice riders, but we can certainly give plenty of contact with the horses for those less experienced who are keen to be involved.
We live in a converted shed and have a large yurt as our lounge space. We have options for wwoofer accommodation including a retro caravan and housebus. All share a bathroom and composting toilet.
Due to there being no public transport close by, and because we are not in town often, we do need you to have your own transport please.Types of help and learning opportunities

Almost a year ago I stayed with the family and I enjoyed it a lot.
I felt very welcomed and we experienced a few adventures, even though I just stayed for 3 weeks.
I could have stayed much longer.
Thank you Kate and Tomas for having me with you!
