Hi there!
My name is Jonna, I am born and raised in Sweden.

I seek to be part of a community/family, big or small, surrounded by nice people with who I can share inspiration, ideas and life's little stories with.

I’m studying to become a prop maker for film and theatre, and am living in the north of Sweden with eight housemates, spending all my time making and creating as much as I can. I’m becoming more and more creative and interested in art and culture as the days goes by.

I have done WorkAway in Scotland, Jamaica, St. Croix and Mexico, so I have some experience volunteering.

I enjoy spending time in nature, yoga, meditation, taking photos and filming, making videos, and, creating/building anything I can stand back and look at, feeling proud of.

I worked as an au pair for two years (in the U.S.) many years ago - so I know the value of a good match.

I think my friends would describe me as adventurous, free-spirited, smiling, imaginative and creative.

I feel like there are so many places to see, so many people to meet and so many things to try - and that with WorkAway is a wonderful way to explore life.

I have spent most summers of my life in my family's cottage in the countryside, I know that buildings need fixing, and gardens and animals need taken care of. I may not know exactly how, but practical problem solving excites me. I am interested in herbs and their uses, building things, decorations, and everything when it comes to growing your own food. I'm not educated in building stuff, but very comfortable sawing, hammering (the basics), which I find really fun!

I really enjoy the artistic side of...anything! I like to paint and draw, love arts and crafts, making little details to decorate a space and give it a feeling.

I spent one summer in Yellowstone, working as a housekeeper, cleaning the hotel rooms.

I spent 10 years of my youth horseback riding, so I am pretty comfortable around large animals.

I got to help out with so many things I never thought I would ever do or learn, like chiselling and grouting away on a stone wall, painting a container and cleaning and repairing a cistern.
