Description
Hello,
We are Patricia and Robert, a couple from the Netherlands.
For the past five years, we have been living in Galicia, in the northwest of Spain. There, we passionately worked on creating our dream project where we believed we would happily spend the rest of our lives.
But the call for adventure never really disappeared. At the end of last year, we decided it was time to take a new direction and let go of our project. Having experienced first-hand how much dedication, hard work, and perseverance it takes to build a dream, we now feel inspired to support others in building theirs. We enjoy becoming part of a project for a while, sharing our experience, time, and energy, and then continuing our own journey, one experience at a time.
We will be living in Spain until October, after which we will be emigrating to South America. We will begin our journey in Paraguay and then continue to Peru. Until October, we are looking for Workaway opportunities in Spain, followed by projects in Paraguay and Peru.
We love being in nature, meeting new people, and discovering different cultures and ways of life. We enjoy rolling up our sleeves and helping wherever we are needed, whether that means practical work, organising, or simply lending a hand.
Patricia also loves to cook and making content for Youtube about our experiences.
We are looking for places where we can become part of everyday life for a while, get to know the people, the culture, and the local way of life. We enjoy projects where there is a good balance between working together, cooking and sharing meals, and getting to know one another. We are not afraid of hard work, as long as we are building something meaningful together. We are not looking for projects that consist solely of heavy physical labour.
We also love to housesitting and taking care of little animals during holidays.
For us, life is not only about reaching a destination but also about what you create together along the way. That is why we value genuine connection, openness, mutual respect, and a good sense of humour.
We look forward to meeting you! -

More details about your skills
Over the past five years, we have been renovating our own country house in Spain. Along the way, we have learned a great deal—not only about painting, maintenance, gardening, and organising projects, but also about working together, being patient, and finding solutions as new challenges arise.
We enjoy being involved, lending a hand, and becoming part of a project. Whether it is working in the garden, helping around the house, cooking, organising something, or simply doing whatever is needed, we are happy to contribute wherever we can.
We enjoy learning new skills and learning from the people around us. Every place and every person has something different to offer, and that is exactly what makes travelling and joining different projects so meaningful for us.
A good working atmosphere is important to us. Clear communication, mutual respect, and a sense of humour make all the difference. We believe that when people feel comfortable with one another, working together becomes both easier and more enjoyable.
We are not looking to tell anyone how things should be done or to take over. We simply enjoy helping, sharing our experience where it is useful, learning from others, and creating something meaningful together. -

What else ...
We feel most at home in nature. We enjoy the simple things in life: cooking together, spending time outdoors, going for walks, and talking about the things that matter to us. It is often during these ordinary moments that the best conversations happen and the deepest connections are made.
Personal growth has been an important part of our lives for more than 26 years. It has taught us to live with awareness, to listen, to stay open to other people, and to keep coming back to what truly matters. We naturally bring this way of living into everything we do.
Patricia enjoys starting the day early and loves the peace and quiet of the morning. She is attentive, a good listener, and enjoys creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Robert likes order, animals, and practical solutions. He often notices what is needed and enjoys thinking along without taking over. In that way, we complement each other well.
It is important to us that everyone feels comfortable. Open communication, clear expectations, mutual respect, and a sense of humour make working together enjoyable. For us, it is not only about the work itself, but also about the connection you build with the people you share the experience with. -
