Description
Hi everyone!
My name is Ilizia, I’m a 36-year-old traveler from Italy. I’m a sunny, energetic, social, and curious person — a real volcano of ideas, always eager to step out of my comfort zone, learn new languages and skills, and meet people from all around the world of every age and background.
In life, I’ve had — and created for myself — many opportunities to experience different kinds of work and adventures. I like to stay active and I’m always looking for new things to learn and new challenges to help me grow as a person.
I have extensive experience as a farmer, working both with plants and animals, which have always been my greatest passion. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Forest and Environmental Sciences and a Master’s degree in Ethology (the study of animal behavior). My love for nature and the environment is deeply rooted in me — I grew up on my family’s farm in the Italian Alps, where I worked alongside my mother for about ten years.
During that time, I had the chance to explore many different roles:
– creating and leading farm experiences for guests
– hosting WWOOF volunteers and sharing our farm and family lifestyle with them
– building environmental enrichment structures
– inventing new recipes for our agritourism guests
– helping with renovations and construction
– training and imprinting various types of animals
…and much more!
I find harmony in many different dimensions:
– in the forest and mountains
– underwater, snorkeling or scuba diving
– through self-care, like preparing food with natural ingredients (even better when they come from my own garden, animals, or wild foraging — I jokingly call myself a fruit hunter!)
– through yoga (asanas, pranayama, and meditation) and spinning poi.
I love sharing my passions — whether it’s walking or swimming in nature while explaining what surrounds us from a biologist and ethologist’s perspective, or simply connecting with people through stories and experiences.
Over time, I’ve also become a certified Yoga Instructor and an SSI Scuba Divemaster.
I’ve traveled to many places and lived so many experiences that it’s impossible to list them all here — but I’ll save stories to tell you in person… and in different languages!
See you soon! 🌿

What else ...
I’m a naturally curious and enthusiastic person who’s always looking to grow and learn new things. Right now, I’m especially interested in learning new languages — particularly Portuguese and German, but I’m open to discovering others along the way too!
I’d also love to learn how to drive boats and gain more experience on the water. The ocean has always fascinated me, and I’d like to deepen my understanding of wildlife and marine conservation, especially concerning coral reef ecosystems and how to protect them.
Beyond my work and studies, I’m also drawn to artistic and expressive activities such as juggling, flow arts, dance, and drawing — creative ways to connect body, rhythm, and emotion.
I definitely feel more at peace in nature than in cities. Whether it’s in the forest, on a mountain trail, or underwater, that’s where I recharge, find inspiration, and feel truly myself.
