Hallo,
ich bin Liz.
Ich lebe in Deutschland an einem sehr besonderen Ort in einem kleinen süßen historischen Zirkuswagen, umgeben von Wald. Die letzen Jahre habe ich auch ganz gut den Winter hier verbringen können, denn ich bin umgeben von ebenso besonderen liebenswerten Menschen. Für diesen Winter möchte ich diesem Ort allerdings den Rücken zukehren, denn so wie sich mein Wagen im Sommer wie ein Palast anfühlt, so kann er sich im Winter zu einer Streichholzschachtel verwandeln.
Meine letzte Workaway-Erfahrung liegt lange zurück und ich finde nun es ist wieder an der Zeit, denn sie haben mich sehr geprägt und ich trage wundervolle Erinnerungen in meinem Herzen. Ich freue mich auf neue Landschaften, neue Begegenungen und das Eintauchen in andere Lebensweisen.

I'm Liz.

I live in Germany in a very special place, in a cute little historic circus wagon surrounded by forest. For the past few years, I've been able to enjoy the winters here quite well, thanks to the wonderful people who are so special to me. This winter, however, I want to leave this place behind, because just as my wagon feels like a palace in the summer, it can turn into a matchbox in the winter.

My last Workaway experience was a long time ago, and I think it's time for another one, as it had a profound impact on me and I carry wonderful memories in my heart. I'm looking forward to new landscapes, new encounters, and immersing myself in different ways of life

Ich würde mich als vielseitig beschreiben.
Sowohl in Deutschland als auch im Ausland (z.B. Australien und Neuseeland) habe ich immer mit viel Freude in guten Restaurants im Service, in Bars und auf Musikveranstaltungen hinterm Tresen gearbeitet.
Ich selbst habe auch für private Veranstaltungen (bis 60 Personen) kreativen Cateringservice gemacht.
In Berlin, wo ich eigentlich herkomme, habe ich einen Bootsverleih in den Saison unterstützt und die Besucher der Stadt in Kanus mit auf die Spree genommen und ihnen Berlin näher gebracht.
Ich habe handwerkliches Geschick und kann mit landwirtschaftlichen Maschinen umgehen, den ich bin gelernte Pferdewirtin und habe 7 Jahre auf einem Hof gelebt und viele Bereiche der Hofarbeit abgedeckt. Neben der Grundversorgung der Tiere gehörte u.a. Ställe bauen oder optimieren, Zäune stellen, Landschafts- und Weidepflege wie auch das erteilen von Reitunterricht für Anfänger zu meinen Aufgaben.
Erfahrungen habe ich auch mit Rindern, Alpakas und Hühnern.
Ich liebe das Swingtanzen und auch in dem Bereich habe ich Veranstaltungen und Beginner Classes organisiert.
Momentan verdiene ich meinen Lebensunterhalt an der Nähmaschine in einer kleinen Manufaktur, die Matrazen und Kissen aus nachhaltigen, biozertifizierten Naturmaterialen herstellt.

I would describe myself as versatile.

Both in Germany and abroad (e.g., Australia and New Zealand), I have always enjoyed working in good restaurants, bars, and behind the bar at music events.

I have also provided creative catering services for private events (up to 60 people).

In Berlin, where I'm originally from, I helped out at a boat rental business during the season, taking visitors on canoe trips on the Spree River and introducing them to Berlin.

I have practical skills and can operate agricultural machinery, as I am a trained horse groom and lived on a farm for seven years, covering many aspects of farm work. Besides the basic care of the animals, my tasks included building or improving stables, erecting fences, landscape and pasture maintenance, and giving riding lessons to beginners.

I also have experience with cattle, alpacas, and chickens.

I love swing dancing and have also organized events and beginner classes in this area.

Currently, I earn my living sewing in a small workshop that produces mattresses and pillows from sustainable, certified organic natural materials.
