    Description

Here at The Belle we are working on gardens, soon as the snow melts away We will be harvesting Dandelion, Stinging Nettle, Violets and strawberry leaves.
We are just organizing upcoming events and workshops
Bill will be showing us all the night sky threw the telescopes on clear nights.
Maggie is the herbalist who lives here and makes medicine, participates at the local farmers market every Friday from May- October and many festivals in the area. She will be having a few herbal walks and medicine making classes. Planting, growing, harvesting and selling these medicinal herbs, is a big job and she is looking for a helper for this year and years to come. This is a great opportunity to learn about herbs and plants and we now have a studio that is dedicated to making medicine!!
Our place is located just outside of Horsefly, British Columbia on 120 acres of wilderness. Nestled up beside Belles Lake were moose, wolves, coyotes, lynx, loons, eagles are common sight here. Nearby there are numerous lakes and rivers to explore. We are working on establishing a organic sustainable farm and wellness centre were folks can come learn, share, grow and explore .
We are planning workshops this year. We are planning Herbal , mushroom, natural building workshops . We would love to host some plant walks, herbal medicine making workshops and some house concerts as well.
One of our local residents is an amatuer astronomer who has built an observatory where one can check out the stars, we have one of the darkest skies around. Bill has observering nights once a month.
Music is also a big part here and we love to have musicians stopping by and playing music. Bill and Maggie are actively involved in our annual music festival and encourage music making whenever possible.
This year we will put up our teepee. Rebuild the sweat lodge, erect a greenhouse, create a new garlic bed. We will continue to clear trails, Bill has created a studio where he can record live music
We have two cabins for our helpers that provides a cozy retreat . It would be great to have you come for a visit and spend some time together.
We are looking forward to meeting new people and sharing ideas together.
