Description
Hi there,
I am a young woman studying Ecology and Conservation at University. I am passionate about learning languages, last year I learnt French, and am now trying to learn Italian !
Im really interested in contributing to projects fostering community, be that on a small scale (the local area) or large (international !) . I particularly enjoy when I can work in the garden, or when I can learn new unique skills like woodwork, traditional agricultural methods or house renovation methods (which I hope to use in my own future one day) and I don't mind a challenge !
A little about me, I am an avid reader, I love music and to sing, I come from a big family so love being amongst many people, and I love any opportunity to learn! be that about culture, history, spirituality, sustainable techniques or a new handy skill. I also really appreciate a workaway where there is an ethos of mindfulness, with both the land, the people living on it and oneself.
In my future I hope to go on to study Biological Anthropology, to work in the field of human-wildlife conflict so I can support both nature and vulnerable communities, which is my passion. -

I have worked with plants through farm work and sustainable agroforestry reforestation.
I have worked as a yoga teacher at a hostel but have no formal experience other than my mum being one.
I have also worked with vulnerable people through volunteering with refugee aid on the border of France. I also volunteer with language support in my own city for refugees and with FoodCycle, an organisation using food which would otherwise be thrown away to cook and serve to our homeless community.
I am currently studying Ecology and Conservation and studied environmental Science for two years so have a basic knowledge on various farming and sustainable techniques, which is contextualised through my hands own experience farming and managing land. -

I believe it is the most I have learned over such a short time period in my whole life. Fred would invite me and the other workaway everywhere he went and we saw many many beautiful parts of France with him, but my favourite place to pass the time was sat in his beautiful garden
Tasks changed day to day from gardening, cooking, or just helping Fred with the odd job. We … read more
