Hi, we’re Ellie and Hattie
We’re a couple from the UK, currently travelling around Australia on our next adventure. We first met while teaching English in China and have been exploring the world together ever since.

We’re super open-minded, love meeting new people, and are always up for learning something new. Nature, music, road trips, beaches, swimming, vintage finds, and drag shows are just some of the things that make us happy.

We’ve both got experience working with kids and in teams, but mostly we bring a positive attitude, willingness to help, and positive energy. Whether it’s gardening, house projects, looking after animals, or lending a hand around the home, we’re keen to get involved.

We see Workaway as a way to experience local life, give back, and make some great memories along the way. Excited to meet you!

• Teaching & Cultural Exchange – We both worked in China for 2 years as English teachers, gaining experience adapting to a new culture, creating fun lessons, and supporting students learning a second language.
• Hospitality & Customer Service – Experience in bars, cafés, retail, and general customer service, so we’re confident working with people in busy environments.
• Care Work – Comfortable and experienced with children, plus hands-on experience in care roles supporting both elderly and disabled people with patience and kindness.
• Adaptability & Teamwork – We’re quick learners, flexible, and enjoy working together as a team or independently.
• General Help – Happy to help with gardening, cleaning, DIY, and day-to-day tasks.
