  • Description

My girlfriend Sindi and I are starting a road trip across Japan on April 8th, travelling from Hokkaido down to Kyushu, and we’re looking for volunteer or paid opportunities along the way.

We’re both on Working Holiday visas (valid until Dec 2026) and are just finishing up a winter season in Niseko, where I’ve been working as a snowboard instructor and Sindi has been managing a café.

We’re travelling by car, we’ve built a small bed setup in the back for flexibility while moving between locations.

    About us:
    • Friendly, reliable, and easy to get along with
    • Happy to help with anything, cleaning, reception, general tasks, etc
    • I have a plumbing/building background (maintenance, repairs, hands on work)
    • Sindi is also very hands on and great in hospitality roles
    • Languages: Harry (English), Sindi (Bulgarian & English), currently we’re both trying to learn basic Japanese
    • We’re really keen on meeting people and experiencing local culture

We’re the type of people who like to stay busy, help properly, and make life easier for the host rather than needing constant direction.

    What we’re looking for:
    • Stays from a couple of weeks to a couple of months
    • Volunteer or paid opportunities
    • Ideally indoor accommodation when working (especially heading into summer)

    Summer goal ☀️
We’d love to find a surf hostel or beachside spot in/around Kyushu where we could stay and help out for a while.

We’d love to find a place where we can stay for a while, contribute properly, and be part of daily Japanese life.

Feel free to message anytime or email: [email protected] / [email protected]

(CVs can be sent if helpful)

Thank you for your time 🙏
