Hi! My name is Giovanni Zonarelli, I’m 22 years old and I live in Bologna, Italy. I’m currently starting my third year of medical school, which reflects my passion for helping people and constantly learning new skills.
I’m a friendly, open-minded, and hardworking person. I don’t mind long days of work and I’m always willing to take on even the most modest tasks with a positive attitude.
I have already had different volunteering experiences, such as spending one month in Ghana as a support teacher last year. However, my most meaningful experience has been scouting: for three years I have been a scout leader and youth educator. This role was both challenging and inspiring, as I had to be a role model for younger generations while sharing my values of helping those in need, respecting others, and protecting our planet.
Alongside my studies, I also work part-time as a rider, steward, babysitter, and tutor for high school students. These jobs have taught me responsibility, adaptability, and reliability.
I would describe myself as responsible, curious, and reliable.
In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, walking in nature with my dog, and spending quality time with friends and family.
I would like to become a Workawayer to gain a deeper understanding of new cultures and lifestyles around the world, but above all to help others and meet new people. I’m really looking forward to contributing, learning, and sharing experiences with my future hosts.
