Description
My name is George, I am 26 years old and have been lucky enough to get offered a mini sabbatical over the months January and February 2025. I'm looking to do some exploring around Argentina, try some delicious food, meet some fun amazing people and see some of the beautiful sights.
Having been brought up in the country side, I've learnt spending time in nature is one of my greatest pleasures; whether its rock climbing, scuba diving, running, foraging, walks, camping I find myself spending as much time as humanly possible outdoors! Argentina is obviously a world famous site that rock climbing and hiking so if you know of any local spots I would love to hear about them! Having spent much of the last year living off takeaways to try keep up with the demands of my job, I am at the point where I am sick of seeing another burger or pizza! So hoping this will be a great chance to experience and hopefully learn some of the cuisine Argentina is so famous for!
I'd consider myself a handy person, with my full time job requiring getting my hands dirty planting native aquatic plants to improve biodiversity and water quality. I have daily use of power tools too, from angle grinders, impact drivers, drills, experience driving telehandlers and driving boats.Interests

My full time job involves project management, designing and installing floating rafts for aquatic plants at a start up company. This means I'm used to driving heavy machinery, hands on work (especially planting! I must've planted close to 10,000 aquatic plants now I think), and creating designs from scratch and then leading a team to implement them.
I have a masters degree in environmental engineering so I'm very keen on helping with environmental/ sustainability led projects and would love to learn in almost any subject branching from that area i.e. regenerative farming, off grid living, reforestation.Age
