Description

We're a young at heart, middle aged couple who love discovering new places. Our home is in Perth, Western Australia so we grew up by the beach and really enjoy the ocean and water activities, especially sailing, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. In 2018 we spent a year living in Cambodia and working as volunteers for the Australian Aid Program, we had the BEST time! We both enjoy cooking and entertaining friends with delicious food and good wine. We're crafty and have renovated several homes, enjoy art and music and love going out to the theatre, live music shows and restaurants. We love planning new adventures and grab every opportunity we can to try new things. We believe that every day is precious and try to make the most of every moment we can. We have recently converted a Delica van into a camper and have spent a few months travelling in Australia. We have learned that we prefer to live in a place and become part of the community rather than just travel through looking at the sites. We have many professional and practical skills.

Gerri is a Speech Pathologist with over thirty years experience. She has always worked in large hospitals with adult patients helping them to recover swallowing, speech and communication skills caused by different medical conditions. She is an excellent communicator and teacher. She has experience organising conferences, charity events and concerts.
Gerri is a creative and wonderful cook, can sew and likes to paint.
James is an active Project Director and has worked for many large companies both locally and internationally, helping them to implement Information Technology solutions. He excels at planning, managing people, and presenting. He takes beautiful photographs, has a passion for sailing and holds a Western Australian Skippers ticket. He used to maintain a large bush property and enjoyed managing the property.
