Description

Hi! How are you? My name is Francisco Maffeis. I'm 31 and I'm from San Martín de los Andes, Patagonia Argentina.

I'm a graphic designer passionate about art, drawing, typography, editing books and board games design. I love tarot, playing hockey and snowboarding. I grew up in a natural place of mountains, forests and lakes, therefore I love Nature because it's a special part of my identity.

When I was a kid I learned Italiano and English. Those skills were very handy years later when I first became a waiter at restaurants in my hometown, in Paraná, where I got my bachelor's degree, and in Buenos Aires, where I lived for 2 years. I also traveled to México with a student exchange programme. After graduating I worked as a graphic designer for some years, but before start travelling I used to be an English teacher at primary school, secondary schools, adult schools and at institutes, too; in front of small groups and groups up to 35 pupils. My students always used to thank me for being a kind, comprehensive and a patient teacher with them.

When I became an Italian citizen I saved some money working and now I'm currently travelling around Europe, seeking to expand my horizons and looking for a new place to start a new life. I've always wanted to travel and study abroad, to work and to have friends from all around the world. My family and closest friends see me as a positive, transparent and enthusiastic person. I like to consider myself a good person.

I’ve got a degree in Visual Communication Design, from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral. My thesis was about the representation of social problems in tarot cards. I feel very proud of it because I could mix two of my passions: Tarot and Design.

I’ve done workshops on lettering, animation, drawing, marketing and typography, tarot and editorial design.

I've got the FCE of English from Cambridge (B2 level). I’ve got a B2 level of italian, from the Dante Alighieri institutes.

Before travelling, my father and I built a small house room, using concrete, wood and other materials. We did the same some years ago in another house garden.

I know how to play the guitar, to sing and dance.

I taught some friends how to snowboard several times.

I've got an international driving licence.

I like taking photos with my phone.

Before coming, my doctor said that I was a healthy person and encouraged me to keep it that way.
