Activities i am interested in:
I'm currently travelling in Australia to explore the country, improve my English and to learn new skills in fields I'm interested in.
My next destination:
Australia - from Mar 2022 until Jul 2025 View allDescription
Born in the countryside of Belgium, I've loved nature since I was a kid. I enjoy outdoors activities like hiking, rock climbing, camping,...
I'm a big animal lover with specific interests for ethology, animal care and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
I love singing, I can play the basic guitar chords and I also enjoy drawing and painting.
I have a master's degree in biology and I worked as a laboratory technician in Belgium and in Malta before to start travelling. I spent 3 years in Australia on a WHV and will soon go to New-Zealand . My stay in Australia was the opportunity for me to invest myself into wildlife rescue and rehab. I volunteered in various animal sanctuaries along the East coast which allowed me to gain experience caring for wildlife (flying foxes, green sea turtles, dingoes, kangaroos, Wallabies, ...) and farm animals.Interests

More details about your skills
Thanks to my studies I have knowledge about ecology, phylogeny and ethology, among others. I can prepare and teach lessons about specific topics in biology if that something you're interested in.
I worked around one year as a lab technician so I'm used to take care of the laboratory housekeeping, I know how to keep things clean and organized.
I have two years of volunteering experience with animal care, rescue and rehabilitation. I'm vaccinated against rabies and I learned how to handle flying foxes (Licuala Rainforest Refure and Batreach). I was trained to handle and to administer medication to sea turtles (Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre). I worked with canines and can walk big and strong dogs (Sydney Fox and Dingo Rescue). I had the chance to care for orphaned kangaroo joeys (Wild2Free Kangaroo Sanctuary). Lately, I have been trained to handle large farm animals, provide them basic medical care and rear calves (Farm Animal Rescue and Friends sanctuary).
Finally, I'm a French native speaker so if you want to learn French I would be happy to help you. I'm used to practice French with non native speakers on language learning applications.Age
