Hello!
I'm Fran, I'm from the south coast of the UK and have recently graduated from university. Growing up by the sea has made me an enthusiastic cold water swimmer all year round!
In general, I love being outdoors and am very active - hiking, running and especially climbing. I have experience working in a climbing centre which fed this passion and prompted some climbing trips around Europe in my self-converted van!
I'm very keen to do hands-on, outdoor work, improve my knowledge of sustainable farming and permaculture, and be part of community-focused initiatives.
One of my main goals is to improve my level of Spanish, and I am also interested in gaining experience teaching English. I have previously volunteered for a week teaching English at a school in Italy and loved it!

I have first aid training and experience from my time working at a climbing centre, and I also supervised children visiting the centre.
I have worked in hospitality for many years, including being the on-shift manager of a team, so I feel very comfortable working with all sorts of people in various different environments and roles.
I have previous experience volunteering, both at an English language school in southern Italy where for a week I taught several classes of children, and at a hostel in Sydney, Australia. Teaching English and working with children are two things I'm very keen to gain more experience in!
I gained basic construction skills from converting my van, and this is something I would like to learn and grow more confidence in!
I love cooking and baking, mostly just as hobbies, but have also worked as a baker in a cafe.
In general I am very energetic, hard-working and a quick learner!

What else ...
For me, being outdoors is the best thing; I'm an early riser and love to see the sunrise. Whilst I'm always active and sociable in the day, I also love finding my moments of peace to get absorbed in reading a book, doing yoga, cooking a meal or making jewellery.
