  • Description

For few years I was backpacking and volunteering around the world... Then I worked on cruise ships as a bartender.

The 2020 lockdown bought me back home, where I realized the needs of my region in term of growing and preserving the agave species for mezcal production, and the lack of manpower to help this sustainable industry.

With Viajeros del Mezcal, we will fulfill those needs. Together, mezcal producers, farmers and volunteers, are looking forward to preserve the agave species, planting and farming them, as well as reforesting the area and, the funniest part, we enjoy some mezcal while helping the local producers!!

This is a really new project, so me, my nephew and the volunteers will start and shape it!! Soon we will get fix local employees and keep it going!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Miahuatlán valley, where the project sits, is located in a strategic point of the state, being close to Oaxaca city, the mountains and the Pacific coast.
Local sights as a ancient Zapotec observatory and the river are within a walking distance, as well as some nice small villages around may be visited by the local transportation.

Our project collaborates with few local bars and galleries, so, if you make music, we might arrange a small concert, as well as some art exhibition with your works, and get some profit out of it :)

We are looking for a english teacher so we can share this international language in our small city and surrounding villages, this position offers different accomodation as well as daily scheddules and a small pay for the lessons. Girls preferred.

Our project collaborates also, with restaurants and bars locally, that means, we might arrange a some help and you will get some profit out of it :)
